Goodbye Bruce! It's rather ironic that Colin Anderson is featured in the `At Home With` page. It is, isn't it. No cuts or bruises on show. The statement confirms that Bruce did resign on the day of the Halifax game. John Sims marks his 300th league appearances with the winner here. He was interested in taking over from Rioch, but was soon off to Exeter as Webby culled the wage bill. Was back within a year and ended up being given the manager's job in August 85 by the bloke who beat him to it in Feb 84, but was sacked by him after only a month in charge. |

So the Burnley friendly was a "transfer fee" for Andy Wharton. I thought he was only ever on loan but maybe not. By mid February he was off to Chester. |

Not so straightforward.... So Wharton never did sign permanently. I thought Bondy was doing his old club a favour, but it ends up he got us to pay for his team to have a hotel break and then we did not even get the player that was supposed to be paying for!!!
