Awful scoreline, but we have mainly been brighter than in recent weeks. Covolan seemed to give a completely unnecessary penalty away there to me in that the danger appeared to be over. |

One down at half-time with an absolute gift of a penalty to them. Pity as we were just seemingly taking control of the game and carving out chances with CLE, Little and Wynter all coming close.

Half time assessment.
Still looking like a bottom half side with very little threat against a very average Weymouth side.
A ridiculous penalty to gift the opposition - why did Covalan charge in to the player? It's just what poor sides with no confidence do.
We look like we cannot handle the pressure with some appalling decision making at times.
No wide men, no pace to call on it will a similar second half - lots of huff and puff with no end product.
I would imagine GJ will be furious and the players are very lucky they don't have a home crowd to answer to.
Lost all the quality, intensity and and cohesion we had early season and Garry hasn't been able to find an answer.
Again from what we have offered offensively, I doubt we will score but live in hope...

Much improved second half though the last minute scrambling in our penalty area was agony to watch.
The rocket at half time was the difference and we scrape a win.
Sets it up nicely for Tuesday night but play if we id first half we will get slaughtered.

Better second half, and vital, vital 3 points! Great finish from Andrews and well deserved winner. Its all about wins and points now and we are grinding out those victories at the moment!

Deserved 2-1 win but boy ,was that stressful. Agreed. We actually created much more than all four of our recent wins before today. Albeit Weymouth weren’t on their game particularly today apart from a 10 minute spell midway through the first half. Goal (a bloody good one) and assist for Andrews and a lovely set piece goal for Evans from a brilliantly delivered corner. |
