Fantastic news before the big game. Whatever happens over the next fortnight we now know the clubs immediate future is in safe hands.
Still the best in the business at this level and more professional ambitious and demanding than any manager in recent times. Stability and continuity is so essential. torquayunited.com/breaking-gary-johnson-signs-new-deal/

No repeat of the Buckle debacle in 2011 then. Actually this is very good news to announce on the eve of the play-off because it will reassure the players.

Incidently I don't think GJ would have signed a new contract unless he was assured that he has been promised a realistic and competitive budget for next season. So all in all things looking good.

This is great news and a timely morale-boost ahead of such an important game. Scotches some rumour-mongering elsewhere. Does appear to confirm that there will be funding in place to continue as we have been for next season at least. Will be very tough next season whichever league we are in due to the late end to this one and a ridiculously short close-season. Would rather face that immense challenge with an experienced head in charge than with a rookie manager.

Great news. Clearly a sign that he is confident the club will continue to improve.
