Thankfully I missed most of the season covered here as I was living in London at the time. Back then I just could not understand whatever possessed Mike Bateson to appoint Paul Compton and this programme wasn’t the first in which Compton was commenting on fans wanting him sacked. What else did he expect, I wonder?
The “do you remember Dulwich Hamlet?” Section is funny to consider now that they are a hipster club averaging around 3000 supporters to their ground. Probably should be doing much better than they should be with that sort of fanbase.

A reminder that Alan Knill (whatever happened to him?) played for Wales against Holland just after they won the Euros in 1988. Did such a good job marking Van Basten that the Dutch had to push Ruud Gullit forward to help Marco out! italia1990.com/uefa/group-4/netherlands-wales/ |
