NL: Eastleigh FC v Torquay United 3pm 28th December 2021

Our final game of the calendar year which has certainly seen a lot of ups and downs starting at the top of the league and seemingly on the way to promotion, falling to play-off penalty heartache and then the season starting with a damp squib. Three wins in a row has put a slightly different veneer on things as we ease into the top half of the table leapfrogging our next opponents who were able to put their feet up and enjoy their Boxing Day due to a COVID postponement. Eastleigh have been our bogey team in recent years with a string of victories against us finally put to bed with a good home win in May this year but with our reduced squad having less than 48 hours to recuperate they will have a big advantage.

Not sure if any of the missing players will be back for this game but timing is everything. Hall was on the bench but no idea if he can start or meaningfully contribute to this game. Armstrong was not overly missed against Yeovil but with Danny Wright putting in a 90 minute shift very doubtful he will be able to do that once again just two days later. This will be a tough ask to get anything from the game but I have got a couple of tickets and a week off so will be there cheering the boys on. COYY!
