After a two week break we have 2 games in quick succession before another mini break starting with an away day at Altrincham. Incidentally they have played twice since our mudfest against Dagenham and not sure if that will have any impact. They were a difficult team to play against last year as we contrived to only gain one point from the 3 games we played against them in 2021 although the two losses coincided with a slump in form during the middle of last season and at the beginning of this.
The good news is that we play Altrincham in a slump of their own as they have just one point from their last 6 leagues games with their last win coming against Weymouth back on 20th November - enough said! To be fair they have been playing mainly teams in form and at the top end of the division, Stockport x2, Wrexham and Bromley but Grimsby managed a win with only Barnet dropping points in a 1-1 draw.
With the rise of Martin, our defence is now looking very good. We have one new loan signing, Wearne to boost our attacking options and maybe someone else will be on their way? Wright and CLE are still an handful though. Our midfield was some cause for concern last time out but if Little and/or Lapslie are back then that will alleviate matters particularly if Hall is fitter after his layoff. A win is needed to keep in the top half of the table and try and narrow that 8 point gap to the play offs. COYY!

I had hoped we would have added a couple of loan players before this game. Looks unlikely. Hope everyone is fit.

I read elsewhere that whole squad is fit link - yep, reported by Devon Live - no covid isolation either although it remains high locally and risen the last couple of days in both Devon and Torbay. Got a game in against Plymouth as well for those that needed it. Chelston - what happened to your Victor avatar?

The whole squad fit…what a difference to this time last year. How different last season would have been if we were injury free at this time…I wonder what caused so many injuries back then? 🤔
Well actually I don’t wonder why, because Blind Pew with his head stuck up a Sasquatch’s arse can see why! 🤨

link TUFC match preview. Also see that Moxey and Lewis are past the dreaded cut off date for a fifth yellow

Stephen Duke McKenna signs on loan - think this is very good news and with him and Wearne either side of Wright with CLE tucked in just behind could be a strong attacking force in front of a good defensive unit.

link - Yikes, no Moxey or Lewis - COVID? Looks like a centre back pairing of Omar and Wynter! Chiori can do a job at right back. No sign of Lapslie but strong midfield and forward line with Little back and loan signings of Wearne and Duke McKenna starting.

Rumours of us being at full strength exaggerated. No Moore either, but he was never fit, just making up bench numbers.
It would be a blow to lose one centre back, but two is a disaster. Just when the back four finally looked sorted...

Full strength my arse…injured in training as I thought ☹️ Or Covid? Moxey and Lewis COVID. Lapslie felt his groin this morning so possibly more precautionary?
