Incredible to think that there was speculation we could sign Dean Strurridge. If there was ever a realistic possibility that we could have signed him then that must go down as one of the biggest missed opportunities.
I remember this game. Pretty sure Paul Raynor was omitted for this match for his own safety and Im sure I remember a match report written from a PNE perspective that described how hostile the atmosphere was because of the previous season’s play-off encounters.. Not sure if it was their local paper or a fanzine but somehow it was shared somewhere at the time so maybe the Herald had a copy.
