Awful game ended up about 15-8 I lost the will to live well before Helen Chamberlain scored. Started ok and the vicar from Eastenders scored a good headed goal, he had obviously played before. Gazza was meant to play but didn't! Game went downhill rapidly and it was like watching a kick about in the local park with jumpers down as goal posts ⚽️

I always thought this was a real disgrace to do for a centenary game; more of a glorified ego trip for people like Chris Evans than a celebration of 100 years of TUFC. It should have been a prestigious friendly against a decent team rather than a group of blokes on the piss who had a link to the Torquay manager at the time.
In two years time, it will be 125 years so let’s hope the club can do better when they Mark that anniversary.

Should be a game at Plainmoor against Bayern Leverkausen hector. The 2nd leg of our 1-1 draw with them in Germany in 1967. ⚽️
