Now that is typical of TUFC, just like buses, not one for yonks and then two in a matter of weeks...tele appearances that is...not buses!
Do you think we'll rest/save any of our players for the cup?
Always wondered what happened to PJ Proby after he showed his todger on stage.

I added that to my post for two reasons: one, to add some semblance of humour to our crippling injury situation, which I’m well aware of, and two, to get a response…so fifty-fifty isn’t bad! 🙂 |

I have stopped asking my "will we have 16 fit" now. It's more a case of will we have eleven fit and available.
De Silva on a one-match ban robs us of any pace whatsoever. We desperately need to bring in a pacey striker cum winger for this game. Relying on two out of Crowe, Martin and Wyatt as wing-backs was a very bad plan for providing any attacking width, but even that option now denied us as Wyatt and Martin both unfit.
Moxey is far better suited to centre-back - I think he would complement Okoli nicely in the middle - but expect him to be pressed into service as an orthodox left-back until Wyatt or Martin returns.
Would hope to have Goodwin and a new man either side of Jarvis up front. I would bring back Koszela to provide fresh attacking legs off the bench. Otherwise we will end up over-working Jarvis and Goodwin until one of them breaks down.
If no incoming, can only see that we could cram our squad packed with slow central midfielders into a diamond formation with McGavin behind the front two. Perm the three least unfit out of Smith, Donnellan, Lapslie, Hall and Hanson into the remaining midfield slots. Would hope that Lapslie and Hall would be able to job-share ninety minutes.
That would leave Tomlinson, a keeper and two unfit midfielders (if we are lucky) on the bench.

Line-up looks distinctly ill-equipped with only 4 on the bench with presumably two of them not fully fit plus a kid. Is Omar injured or just dropped?
Unable to attend today so watching on TV but I’m not optimistic.

My prediction of one big centre half and two unfit midfielders on the bench was nearly right, but not quite. It's two big centre halves and one unfit midfielder.
No Hanson, but Marshall returns so Omar drops to bench. Will Lapslie be able to take over from Hall when he gets knackered?
Will Donnellan play in a midfield diamond or will he play in a back three to make Moxey the oldest wing back in history? Or will he or Smith play out of position as wingback?
None of those options sound ideal. No pace in the team at all.
Let's hope we can beat a poor Alty team anyway.
If the game is really good, I can have the pleasure of watching it again after a nice steak, a few pints and an evening of Chelstonian wit and wisdom.

I assume that Olaf and co aren’t contractually able to play for us or the gaffer feels he doesn’t need them.
