So, our first ever match against Derby which will also be televised and the last time a club in a similar league position visited Plainmoor was when Brighton visited in the FACup third round in January 2010. Just looking through this match thread I see a certain Mark Ellis was involved with this game and you can read about it HERE Of course, the gap was a lot closer back then as we were near the top of league 2 and we are very much the underdogs for this match up. The good news is that the Aldershot game will have given the team a big confidence boost and with Johnson reporting that all the loan players will be available where there is a very good chance subject to injury that Johnson will go with the same starting 11. I suppose if there is a chance of either Martin or Wyatt being fit then you may move Moxey back into the centre of defence. Derby are where they are due to financial issues - link but with a change of ownership and management I’m sure they will now be very much on the up. Dave Thomas on the yellow Army podcast mention they have a few defenders out with injury problems but with the quality of their squad it will probably make little difference to us. Hopeful for a good competitive game and in the FA Cup you just never know?

Playing two teams at the same time! We might have improved, but that’s a big ask! 🙈

Just as we manage to name five subs for the first time in ages, I thought we would be entitled to name seven (and use three) tomorrow. I was wrong. We can name nine and we can actually use five - or six if somebody gets concussion. Details below.
What are the chances of us having twenty fit and available players? We don't need that many but would be good to have five outfielders to bring on. That would need one of our five injured players (Crowe, Hanson, Wyatt, Martin, Andrews) to return. I did not mention Evans as we already have too many loanees - or at least I hope we have. Smith will probably miss out again IF we have renewed De Sliva's loan. I do hope we have. We need his pace and energy.
(c) (i) In the Qualifying Competition, a maximum of seven substitutes may be nominated. Subject to the below a Club may at its discretion use three of those seven substitute players at any time in a match. In the event that extra time is played in any match a Club may at its discretion use one additional substitute player, (a fourth in total) from the nominated seven substitutes, during such period of extra time. A substitution can only be made when play is stopped for any reason and the Referee has given permission. Prior to the substitution being made the Club must identify to the Match Officials the number of the player out and the player in, in accordance with the Official Team Sheet. (ii) In the Competition Proper, a maximum of nine substitutes may be nominated. Subject to the below a Club may at its discretion use five of those substitute players at any time in a match (including during any period of extra time). Each team is only permitted a maximum of three opportunities to make substitutions during normal time in the Match (excluding half time). If the Match proceeds to extra time, each Club will be permitted to carry over any unused substitution opportunities into extra time and will be permitted 17 an additional (fourth) opportunity to make a substitution (excluding (i) the break between full time and extra time and (ii) at half time of extra time). A substitution can only be made when play is stopped for any reason and the Referee has given permission. Prior to the substitution being made the Club must identify to the Match Officials the number of the player out and the player in, in accordance with the Official Team Sheet. (iii) In the Competition Proper, if a player suffers a concussion (or potential concussion), the Club and its opponent shall be permitted to use additional substitution(s) in accordance with the relevant IFAB protocol adopted by The Association and in force from time to time. Concussion substitutions shall be permitted to be used in addition to the substitutions listed above. If The Association has adopted an IFAB protocol for the purposes of the Competition, this shall be communicated to competing Clubs in advance of the relevant Round.

So with Ronnie Radford now playing in the first eleven with Jesus, is it time for another FA Cup hero to emerge from the Dark Satanic lower leagues…sadly not! Those days are long gone, and we have moved into a time when the lower leagues are looked upon as nothing more than a piece of shit hanging out of a Polar Bears arse!
I am prepared for today’s festivities: I shall be watching the match on my compooter in my bedroom, because Mrs Pew is not a great fan of football. My finger will be hovering over the mute button, waiting for the inevitable chant of “yellow army” from three spotty faced teenagers on the pop-side!
I will be ready for them: yellow ar…mute! 😑

Hoping to see a good competitive game but i would definitely take a replay right now if offered. That would be a great result for the club imo.
