A week on and it’s the same teams at the same ground. If we can reverse the result, then overall think most fans will be happy with that. TUFC match preview

When was the last time we played a team two games running at home? Truro doesn’t count although I think there may have been a game between them anyway.
I can think of Colchester United in 1984 (FA Cup 1st Round followed by league the week after) and Scunthorpe 1988 (last league game of the season and then 1st leg of the play-offs)

Presumably the 17 from last week less Collins.
Or could we see Hall or Crole available or a new forward signing?
Crole would only be on the bench at best. If Hall is nearly there, I would use him for no more than fifteen minutes today in the hope he could manage a longer stint in the crucial six pointer on Tuesday.
Without Hall, it is a case of where best to hide at least one player who is just not good enough.
I would like to see either Marshall or Mensah adding some height in a back four.
Then hide the donkey.
Crowe at RB, Donnellan midfield?
Donnellan RB, Hanson or McGavin midfield?
How about Wyatt centre midfield with Lapslie, De Silva and Evans wide?
Wyatt any good centre midfield? Probably not.
Worse than Hanson or McGavin? Probably not.
Come on you Yellows!

Marshall for Wyatt.
Martin for Crowe on the bench - so three left backs on the bench.
Is it 4-4-2 with Moxey left back and Evans wide?

So the winner of "hide the donkey" is McGavin.
Hanson and Wyatt make the bench, but Crowe not even on bench.

I think we played well today and deserved the win, although even at 2-0 as the game went on, I started to fear we might lose, as Barnet came more into the game. Once they scored it felt likely they’d get an equaliser so the fact the team weathered that storm was testament to them. That’s three decent performances agains three promotion-chasing teams in the last three games. That could easily have been 0 points, so to get 4 isn’t too bad but knowing Torquay, they’ll mess things up and lose to Dorking on Tuesday.

Decent price tickets for Dorking so rather than streaming, have decided to make the trip for it. £16 adult and £13 for my student daughter travelling from Tooting. Sorted. Got to treat this as a Cup final.

At last we revert to 4-4-2. What a difference.
All did well - Lapslie, Jarvis and Lawrence were excellent.
We dominated most of the match. Silly free kick to give away and Barnet made us pay - leading to a nervy finish. Not helped by the lack of forward options, and of quality, on the bench.
To our credit we held on.
Was worried about McGavin but he did better than I expected, helped by the superhuman efforts of Lapslie alongside him.
I did wonder if Mensah might get the nod over Marshall to give two left footers in the back four and let Lawrence play on the right side. I need not have worried about that as Lawrence is a good enough player to be comfortable on the wrong side. Marshall did well enough to justify his inclusion.
Evans looks far better with space out wide than running into dead ends through the middle.
Fadahunsi played longer than I would have liked him to, but we had no forward to replace him. He and Jarvis were doing a great job holding the ball in the opponents’ half rather than just invite them on to us.
We ended up with Mensah at right back, Hanson right midfield, Lapslie, Donnellan and Evans centre midfield and Wyatt left midfield.
A brilliant and well deserved three points BUT we do need to win the six pointer with Dorking. I hope Lapslie and Fadahunsi have enough left in the tank after Saturday’s over-exertions.
