Well I never would have guessed at a left sided centre back playing as a right wing back with an out and out right winger playing as a left wing back.
Mensah was a weird signing. Desperate for two full backs and a central midfielder we signed yet another centre back - one that Maidstone had decided was not up to their standard.
I had just about accepted he might play at orthodox right back as I did not think he could be worse than Crowe and it meant no McGavin in midfield. How wrong could I be on both scores?
We have so many poor players in this squad. Why not make the best of a bad job by not playing them in ridiculous positions?
