link - TUFC match preview After a disappointing performance on Saturday, we possibly play a team even more inconsistent than us that are struggling at the lower end of the table. Desperately need a win now to get back into the playoffs and generate some more positivity. With protests being organised on Saturday the club desperately needs to be United with changes necessary from the owner downwards.

Totally mixed feelings these days . Quite likely a positive reaction after saturday but would only paper over the very obvious and long lived defensive and tactical deficiencies. A So disillusioned now a heavy defeat would likely earn the manager a contract extension 🙄😭 New eyes and fresh ideas desperately needed I'm afraid.

Halstead, Harris and Lapslie in. Stobbs and Collins start.
No Hall. Williams on bench. Assume Collins up front with Ash with Stobbs and Harris as wing backs in a 3-5-2.
Waiting for the stream…. why do I do it to myself?

Hope Lapslie will stir us from our usual slumber.

I was about to say this was the best I’ve seen us play this season and then a needless penalty has invited them back in it. They are probably more likely to score the next goal and then who knows which way it could go? (Well, we probably do know)
*edit - false alarm - super Brett to the rescue. Two nice goals for him tonight!

According to Flashscore Eastbourne down to 10 men after 26 minutes.

Just watched the highlights and McGavins free kick for our third was a cracker. His technique was faultless as he managed to hit it with venom and keep it from rising too far.

A great result and four fantastic goals - every one a cracker.
What a contrast from Darford.
We did have a very dodgy ten minutes after Lapslie went off and really looked like we would throw it away until our third settled the nerves.
You can only beat what is in front of you, but Eastbourne did look extremely poor. Whereas teams that get stick in and rattle us make us look very poor, teams that stand off and let us play make us look like full-timers playing against part-timers.
McGavin in particular looks far too good for this league when clubs stand back and let him play - because he has the technical ability to play at a higher level. When the opposition tries to stop him playing, then he has to prove how to determined he is to impose himself. He has not risen to the challenge in a tough game yet. Is it too late to hope that he can add that to his game?
