Brilliant goal line clearance from Dan Martin to prevent us from equalising.
Does that read strange? I suppose it does.

Even Roger Lester is saying that part-timers have tactics and fitness whilst we do not.
But he cannot bring himself to conclude that Gary Johnson is to blame and that George Edwards is wrong in backing him.

1-0 to the ten part-timers against the eleven full-timers.
I expect we would have shipped four or more again if we had been playing against eleven.
No more time to waste in making a change if we are to have any chance of closing the growing gap from us to seventh place.
Plainmoor will not be a happy place on Saturday if he is still there.

I can hardly wait for the GJ post match interview. He is going to need to get creative with the excuses as we have heard most of them before.....

It is difficult playing against ten men and these little clubs always raise their game when playing against the mighty Torquay United. And it was the ref’s fault.

I think even Roger did manage to bring himself to the conclusion that we need a change of manager. George will be so disappointed in him. He thought he was the right kind of fan. Good for Dominic that he was off today - gives him a week to think about it!

Someone has tweeted Braintree fans were chanting ‘Sacked in the morning’ and Johnson replied ‘I hope so’. Hmmn.

Home to Aveley on Saturday. Can't imagine what the atmosphere will be like.

Johnson did give an interview to Radio Devon.
We had 62% possession.
We defended well apart from the goal.
It is difficult playing against ten men.

Home to Aveley on Saturday. Can't imagine what the atmosphere will be like. Away to Farnborough on Tuesday first. We need a change of manager before that game. I am sure that a competent manager could organise us into a winning outfit quite quickly, but he may not have time to get us to scrape into seventh place if we leave it any longer. Yes Saturday will be toxic if Johnson is still in charge. You would think his wife would tell him even if George Edwards will not.

You are joking, right? No. Being full time is such a huge advantage that a competent manager could make up the gap separating us from seventh place IF WE ACT NOW! A competent manager would also make us competitive in playoff games if we did scrape in. In two games time, it may well be too late!

Gary Johnson goes, Gary Johnson stays - probably two sides of the same coin. Whether Gary Johnson is manager or not, whether we keep losing or not, it’s got so far beyond that being important. Supporters pretty much need to “declare war” on Osborne/Edwards as the long-term future is far from assured while they slowly suffocate this club to death.
