Unconfirmed rumours, (the usual insider informant) that the sale of the club to the new owners is going through today. All unconfirmed as to who the consortium consists of but some names that have been regularly mentioned of late. News soon I fancy.

We were looking at mid May and then now suddenly? Think those Chinese whispers are Osborne – Masters – Phillips -Merse. What could go wrong?

Unconfirmed rumours, (the usual insider informant) that the sale of the club to the new owners is going through today. All unconfirmed as to who the consortium consists of but some names that have been regularly mentioned of late. News soon I fancy. I fear this is just going to be another red herring. On 22nd April Merse alluded to inside information that the preferred bidder consortium did not include James Watt of Brewdog. Today (26th April) Merse is now alluding to inside information that James Watt is part of the consortium along with John Jarvis, who was mistaken for Chris Dawson (of the Range) in a photo published on BTPIR. But does not include Edwards or Hayman. In between (24th April) there has been pandemonium caused by Richard Hughes reporting in the Torbay Weekly that the consortium is seeking 'continuity' which has been interpreted as George Edwards and Mel Hayman being involved with the consortium. So in four days almost every permutation has been reported on BTPIR. Of course the reason for all this is the lack of news coming from the club.

Quite possibly a load of bollocks but wouldn't be surprised if there is some substance to this 'rumour'. We all no well enough that the former TUFC employee of 40 years ago likes to believe he's still well in the know regards inside information from his trusted sources. Its something to talk about and discuss during this period of uncertainty but I'll take with a pinch of salt and wait for some official news which cant be too far away.

link - article in the Torbay weekly by Tim Herbert on the worrying deafening silence about the takeover from the club. Three weeks today since the sale to preferred bidders was announced and no update since then. Time is of the essence. Bank holiday weekend coming up, would be good to hear something from the administrators by then.

All quiet on the Western front? We can only hope things are progressing behind the scenes.

As long as ducks are being lined up and relevant preparations being made then hopefully we will be ready for the new season. Just need to get there first.

We need to state our credentials to be taken seriously as a club. I can’t imagine any club in the entire country providing such limited information at a critical time. The idea of ‘continuity’ from the people supposedly running the club is laughable. I suspect everyone has gone on holiday and that’s where the mid May decision notion came from. The people providing ‘ continuity’ will be back by then… Have we I wonder applied to the South Devon League just in case we miss the National League cut off date?

All of this no doubt was clearly predicted by Merson and his merry band of non-existent sources.
