Dillon De Silva moves on. An opportunity nearer to home for him has arisen according to Downes in his Thursday round up earlier. Hasn’t been getting in the side, so makes sense for all parties.
Also sounded suspiciously as if Craske has played his last game for us, and in terms of injury, certainly for this season.
Thought I’d pop this here for now. Feel free to move to matchday thread ahead of the game. Weymouth Chairman. A man who certainly gets that fans are the lifeblood of any Club. Pleased to be spending some time and money there on Saturday.

Sort of a local Derby, but whatever situation we find ourselves in, points are becoming ever more crucial and as players start to return, then hopefully we can turn some of these results around. link - TUFC match preview Also, looking forward to going to this game, was here last in December 2021.

Not a time to be critical. Another point...and every point could be critical at the end of the season. Just hope we can find an owner who is committed to the club.

No Nelson (Has he gone back) or Booth in the matchday squad. Booth certainly travelled as he came over and clapped the fans at the end. Didn’t notice if Nelson was there. I would say either of them would have been stronger and done better than Ollie Tomlinson for their goal. Was too easy for their prat of a number 14 who then decided to try and wind up our support for no apparent reason. Have read elsewhere that Jarvis was supposed to pick the player up. But Tomlinson got to the man right in front of where I was stood and his challenge was just so soft. It was an easy nod in that should not have been so easy. Great atmosphere throughout from the Yellow Army today and a pleasure to be there. “Torquay ‘til I die” feels like it has taken on new meaning this week. Yet still the same meaning. I thought we played well and was a fair bit of end to end in patches. We probably had the better chances overall, but neither side was able to stamp their authority on the game. Good saves from both ‘keepers today and nothing either could do with the goals. Halstead 6 (a couple of good saves including one unsighted in first half low down) Moxey 6 (Solid) Tomlinson 4 (Unimpressed by their goal) Marshall 5.5 (Ok) Jude-Boyd 8 (Quality all day. Impressive performance again.) Stobbes 6.5 (flashes of brilliance. Looked alright.) McGavin 5.5 (not particularly good or bad) Dawson 6.5 (heavy touch once or twice but got better and very important for us) WJD 5.5 (not one of his better displays) Jarvis 6.5 (unlucky not to score with a good backheel. Good hold up play and a few chances reasonably well taken.) Ash 5.5 (good at times and poor at other times) None of the subs put a foot wrong. Archer looked good again.

Another positive interview by Aaron Downes. Nice to hear from yesterday’s man of the match for me. Enjoying his time with us. Long may it continue.

I thought it was a very much average performance yesterday. No lack of effort, but not enough quality and perhaps confidence to win the game. Their keeper came up with a reaction save early in the second half to deny a Jarvis header from what seemed to be a certain goal. Thought our goal was a rare moment of quality and while the delivery of the free kick, poorly conceded by Tomlinson was on the money, too easy for their striker. Agree that Dawson and Judd Boyd were our best two players.

I sat in the stand for the first half but felt that I was needed behind the goal in the second so took to my feet. It's been while since I've done that and, apart from the lack of a winner I thoroughly enjoyed the more urgent atmosphere.
Yes, it was a bit 'average' but felt that we did enough to have won as, after weathering a bit of a wobbly period half way through the half, we came through strongly towards the end.
The attendance coupled with that the previous Saturday has filled me with confidence that after this horrible boil has been lanced we will emerge stronger whatever league we find ourselves in.

WEYMOUTH DONATIONS
As we are sure supporters are aware, Weymouth FC very kindly offered to donate to TUST £5 for every adult away ticket sold for last Saturday’s game. In addition to this, the Weymouth Supporters’ Association raised further funds from a bucket collection and the sale of badges. A total of approximately £3,000 was raised from all of these initiatives.
Weymouth suggested that their contribution should be used to help fund player and staff wages, so we have agreed to forward the full amount on to the Football Club as soon as it is received on the understanding that it is used for this purpose.
Yesterday marked the second anniversary of the passing of the great Frank O'Farrell. How fitting that the two clubs at which he is so revered have come together in this way.
On behalf of all Torquay United supporters, we put on record our appreciation of this wonderful gesture and send our thanks to all involved at Weymouth.

Great gesture by Weymouth. Think they will have won a lot of new fans.
