Taunton can ill afford to have any more home games postponed..I wonder if they might consider playing home games at Plainmoor?

When Weston come to us on Monday it will be their third match in 6 days. Am guessing when we play Taunton and Truro that will be on the back of a heavier recent schedule for both of those sides, too. Won’t mean a thing if we aren’t on it, but may well prove to be a factor.
Taunton has now been brought forward to Tuesday 16th April and will be at their ground. Taunton will be SatTue/Thu/Sat every week for the remainder of the season at best. A poster elsewhere has worked out that one more cancellation and they will need to play a fixture on a consecutive day.

One would hope that our full-time training will give us the edge over many of the part-time sides who are facing a heavy fixture schedule. But as you say Rob: we have to be on it to get the win, we can't presume that we will win just because we are full-time.

Whatever league we are in next year (assuming that we still have a club), please can we sign a Guy Branson type CB?

I see Taunton lost at ‘home’ again tonight, one nil v Maidstone. 2 games in hand left.

They are going to struggle to overtake us with the strength sapping amount of games they have left and still being 5 points (plus vastly inferior goal difference) behind. Definitely a ‘must not lose’ at their place, though.

Yes, looks like a good result for us tonight on the face of it, except when you consider that Taunton have lost six games in a row but before that won 3-0 at Plainmoor quite comfortably. Not sure what that says about our prospects of staying out of the bottom four. Perhaps Havant & Waterlooville will have given up the ghost by the last weekend once their fate is sealed, perhaps not?

Definitely a ‘must not lose’ at their place, though. I agree. They appear to have 7 games in 15 days: Sat 6th April - Away to Hampton & Richmond (currently 6th place in NLS) Tue 9th April - Away to Braintree Town (3rd) Thu 11th April - Home to Slough Town (12th) Sat 13th April - Away to Farnborough (8th) Tue 16th April - Home to Torquay (18th)Thu 18th April - Home to Weston-super-Mare (14th) Sat 20th April - Home to Hemel Hempstead Town (19th) It's quite an incredible run of form since 10th December: 0 wins and 6 draws from 13, then 2 away wins, then 6 defeats out of 6. What on earth happened to the club in the four days from 9th to 12th March (apart from playing us, of course! )? With Taunton and Hemel (2 points from the last 12 games) closer to relegation than we are, I feel confident about escaping relegation. Not because we are good enough to climb clear but simply because there are equally inept clubs already below us. Of course, if we go up there on the 16th and lose....

Not because we are good enough to climb clear but simply because there are equally inept clubs already below us. So Hemel won 2-0 at Truro last night completely spoiling my prophetic optimism... However, we are still five points above Dartford, whom we have a game in hand over, and one of their remaining four games is away at Yeovil.

If we had the slightest idea of how to defend, relegation from this league would not be an issue. Unfortunately, .....

Truro pick up a point tonight ☹️ They have played Monday, Thursday, Saturday evening and play us to tomorrow. Normally a big disadvantage against a full time team…..
