As a glass half empty ...... ☹️ Half? Your glass was well and truly emptied when you were still a youngster. Barring a miracle, I think we are fecked 😡

Eastbourne’s form is such that it looks very much like two from us, Dartford and Taunton for the bottom four at the end of season.
Truro made 8 (eight) changes to their side last night.

What's the betting we manage to avoid relegation with a 95th minute winner against Havant on the last day of the season and then fail to get things sorted by the 19th June and get relegated by the NL board.

I believe it is 8th June Pete. Southend deal still not sorted so could be a relegation reprieve for somebody but almost certainly from National League North as they have more points

Good win last night. Team showed verve and intent from the start (at long last) in front of what must be the smallest attendance ever for a Torquay United league match since turning professional.

Dartford lost at home last night to Worthing in a game they led 1-0 at half-time. Worthing came out in the second half and scored two goals for the win. Dartford must win both of their remaining games to pass us, presuming we lose all of our remaining matches.
Dartford's next game is away to Yeovil. The leaders can clinch the title tomorrow night with a point at Truro (who drew 0-0 at home this evening) but even if they do that you would hope that they would want to put on a show for their fans so an away win is highly unlikely (but not impossible).
If Dartford fail to win tomorrow evening, then only Taunton can catch us. It would help if we could beat them next Monday night, however with 5 games in 10 days still to play it would seem highly unlikely (but not impossible) that Taunton can overtake us.
Fingers crossed...

Dan Lavercombe sent off for Taunton, losing 1 nil ** Now losing 3 nil
Truro losing 1 nil ** Now losing 2 nil

Results starting to fall our way. Would be nice to be safe come the last game. In some respects, Bath is a free hit with Taunton and Havant being the key games.

Does anybody really think the club needs any more points to avoid relegation?
Of course they don't. 48 will be just fine. Which is probably just as well. ⚽️

Which is probably just as well. ⚽️ Completely agree, and it is even likely that one more point will take us above Hemel Hempstead. There is a distinct anomaly in our results this season: As at 16 December: P22, W13, D1, L8 Position: 2nd After 16 December: P21, W4, D6, L11 Position: 13th (without of course the 10 points deduction) I should be interested in opinions as to why this sudden and drastic dip in form occurred. Could it be that the next few away matches were against teams in or near the play offs and there were no wins? Possibly the loss of Jarvis and Hall and limited appearances by Lapslie, although the rest of the team remained almost the same? Or maybe Johnson started to give up, armed with the knowledge of what was to come from the owner? One question continues to burn in my brain. Given their recent record, which I believe is no wins in nine and containing some thrashings, how on earth did Taunton manage to win 3-0 at Plainmoor? I was not present at that match, but this must have surely been the worst performance in the club's history?

I watched the stream against Taunton and I would suggest it was the worst I’d ever seen us play. I’ve seen plenty almost as bad and a lot of those have been this season but that was the nadir.

Just when you think your safe and ridden out the worst we've just been deducted another point by all accounts for fielding an ineligible player. We drop a place to 17th on 47 points.🙄

What a shocking and embarrassing mistake. No wonder the club is declining to identify the match or player involved. Probably Marshall?
