NLSW1: Southampton v Torquay United 2pm 24/03/24

With the men’s team easing their relegation worries somewhat yesterday the women’s team now need to do more of the same as not only have theyslipped into the relegation zone following their defeat against Bridgewater, they are now 3 & 4 points adrift from the next two teams, Southampton and Portishead, respectively. They have still to play Portishead at home who seem to be on a very poor run of form but today’s game away at Southampton is absolutely key and as a minimum they don’t want to lose this one. They won the corresponding home fixture with an injury time goal to take all three points.

Longer trips in this league and after doing the university run to Cardiff and back yesterday before the game following working in North Devon on Friday and another long drive tomorrow this is a bridge too far for me but best of luck girls!
