After a good opening day win against new boys Enfield in the division we now play a more established side that finished eighth last season, missing the play-offs by one point and starting well with an away win against Chippenham Town on the opening day of this season. I suspect we will need to take our chances in front of goal if we are to keep up this momentum.
Looks like we have no new injury worries but with both youngsters Wonnacott and Wellington now out on loan at Tiverton and Brixham respectively.

I have been out all day but heard bits of the match whilst driving and sounds a closely fought match decided by a mistake. Report now up - link

With so many new players and a new manager think we have to be patient. Top 7 is a reasonable target.

I can't say that I'm too keen on this new provision for five substitutions, particularly when it leads to two changes at half time. Can't put my finger on it, except that it is quite a departure from what substitutes were originally intended for. Gives quite an advantage to the better off clubs.

With so much positivity emanating around the club in the last three or four months I guess it's inevitable that a percentage will forget where were in March and will now expect us to roll over everyone in the division . Human nature I guess but I do believe we have a talented and motivated squad that will eventually gain the consistency need to really compete at the top. Early days but already i can see the culture, playing style and tactical systems are totally different from what we've witnessed under Garry Johnson. Once we establish familiarity and a system that works for the players we will no doubt become more consistent in our play and I feel the results will come and lets not forget the pretty poor start Yeovil had last term. With so many new faces its inevitable a small percentage wont work out and as usual the pack will have to be shuffled a bit. Having sasi that Ive not seen a player who hasn't been 100% committed to the cause which is all we can ask for at this stage of te rebuild. I would imagine there has to be room for manoeuvre for the manager to add to the squad if needed and personally would like to see some genuine pace in certain areas.
Patience, support and understanding from the terraces and on social media will be key to how well we do over this coming season and its been fantastic up till now. Look forward positively to every game and remember just where we've come from.
