link - after the disappointment of the men yesterday, the women make their home debut this time at Newton Abbott Spurs in Marsh Rd, Newton Abbot. Hopefully, there will be decent support which will be rewarded with a good win. COYY!

A comprehensive 7-0 win today which can only do a newly formed team good for both their cohesion and confidence. Four changes from last week with Emma Ayres replacing Jasmine Read in goal, (are they being rotated?) and then Kaitlyn Brown and Rachel Heron being promoted from the subs bench and Kate McKane also coming in replacing Chloe Williams, (player of the match last week), Samantha Burnham and Lily Hilton.
Tee Kaptein got an early brace, first goal was a shot from the left side of the penalty area and then the second shortly after this time from a shot on the right hand side of the area. Lucy Solloway then got in on the act getting on the end of a through ball to slot home pass their keeper to see us three up in no time at all. Frampton then probably had their best spell on the match in the second part of the first half, keeping the score down and actually having a couple of headers from corners/crosses which Emma was able to comfortably save.
Normal service resumed in the second half, a cross come shot was headed by their defender hitting the post and coming back out. Lucy Solloway then got another goal and is pretty lethal in the area with the ball at her feet. A Tracey Cross corner then curled in at the near post and while it did glance off Frampton’s number 3 head think it was going in anyway. Some good work by Emily Elliot set up Lexie Watts to shoot home from a central position on the edge of the area. I thought our winger (Emily) had a good game, worked hard and was a real threat there. Finally Lucy Solloway got her hat trick putting away a cross from close range.
The team will have a lot harder days, still need to keep improving, but think it was a giant leap forward from last week and looking forward to the FA cup match against Plympton next Sunday.
