link - TUFC match previewCoach Road again, which may just be as well as there is a small stand there which with the wind and rain forecast for tomorrow perhaps not making this the most pleasant of spectacles. The women seem to be hitting their stride now scoring 15 goals in their first 3 games so certainly not a boring watch.

A good solid 4–2 victory today in very trying conditions with the score line flattering Poole somewhat as our women dominated large parts of the match with both of the opposition goals having an element of fortune to them. Up to second in the table as this new side begin to gel and build up a head of stream.
I thought we played very well today and got off to a good start with Poole limited to a few counter attacks with one opportunity being hit wide. Thereafter it was all Torquay for most of the half with chances mounting up and eventually the pressure told with a long range shot from Adele Brown in midfield, just squirming out of their keepers hands in the wet conditions, and Lucy Solloway needed no second opportunity to slide in and force the ball home leaving her mark on their keeper who needed a degree of treatment after. We scored again a few minutes later when Ellie Bishop with her back to goal was rashly tackled from behind to gain a penalty. Fresh from two goals taken from the spot last week Tee slotted the ball very comfortably away giving their keeper no chance. It was all looking good as we came to the halfway mark but a long ball forward saw Jasmine Read come out of the area to clear, but her kick unfortunately ricocheted off their attacker and crept over the line. For the last few minutes that gave Poole some confidence with which to put some pressure onto Torquay although they had no clear chances.
Second half the girls kept going in what was now pretty awful conditions but some good work on the right by Tee again saw her get to the ball before it went out and hook the ball round only to be blocked by the defender but after consultation with the Lino, the ref gave a penalty for handball. Tee again majestically put the ball away for her seventh goal of the season in only 4 games and take her to top scorer! Lexie Watts then came on and using some good footwork created space in the area to get our fourth and game over. Poole got a consolation goal late on with a long range lob over our keeper, which was somewhat wind assisted, but there was no danger to the result and the girls confidently closed out for a well-deserved win.
