After a fortnights break, we are back on the road again today with a tough match against Hampton who despite a mediocre start to the season seem to be hitting form just at the wrong time for us so will be a tough game. With our various injuries the break hasn’t hurt us, but suspect that both Palmer and Dyer will be still out and together with Booth, leaving the club will likely see either Moxey come back into defense and Foulston possibly switch to the right side or Craske (less likely Tomlinson ) to fill that defensive position. Would not be surprised to see a new face in the side but we shall see. COYY! link - TUFC match preview

I’m definitely getting withdrawal symptoms and hoping that listening this afternoon cures me!
As you say rjd, it’s going to be a tough one. I’m not expecting a win but a good performance will make the wait until we play at Plainmoor again on 22nd October (Worthing) a little easier.

Tough game indeed.
Missing the height of Booth and Palmer. Shame they haven’t replaced Booth with a tall/tough loanee. Guy Branson lives locally I think 😀
Bit of muscle up front also required.
I better warm up the wireless 👍

Terrible commentator today on Radio Devon. He persists in speaking so quickly that I can barely understand a word he is saying.

Terrible commentator today on Radio Devon. He persists in speaking so quickly that I can barely understand a word he is saying. I had a lucky escape then as my daughter was down from Cardiff in Wellington visiting friends and I drove up there to meet up with her this afternoon for a few hours so missed all that. Bloody good away win as we look to be back to our pre-blip standards as it seems we were both solid at the back and unlucky not to win by more goals. Manager very happy and maybe that break has enabled a bit of a reset. The table looks very tight now with just a few points separating the top third of the table and with no standout team, there is an opportunity if form, fitness and results can be consistently achieved.

The levels or balance or something were wrong as well because it sounded as if he was commentating from the middle of a children’s playground. Still, I’d put up with him every away game if it meant that we came away with 3 points!

I wouldn't be so sure about that. With Luke Garrard back in charge Boreham Wood look like the team of old, and after a very poor start to the season (3 pts from 18) Chelmsford have hit top gear with four straight wins.

Good point, they are shaping up to be a threat.

Its a very even league this season with no one club dominating and looking like they're going take the division by the scruff of the neck. In fact any of the teams in the top half of the table could put in a good run of results and start to establish themselves at the top with just six points separating the top ten its really anybody's title to take to take. I hope one of them is us but one or two are just beginning to find some form. Borham Wood many expected to be challenging and look to be one of the main contenders and even Chelmsford down in tenth I wouldn't write off, after a poor start they have found some genuine form. I feel we need to get a couple in to improve our quality certain areas, creativity and pace, Paul Wotton, in interview, admitted as much himself and I believe it will depend very much on who we can add that will eventually dictate our season. Always great to win away from home and great to put a "W" on the form board after a bit of a stutter - though that was well short of the biggest test we'll face this season .

“Another” 2 week break before we have a run of six games in three weeks and hopefully we will have at least one new addition by then. Also gives a bit of time for the likes of Jordan Dyer to return. He has lost the best part of two months, but not that many games.
