Barton Downs is always going up into his attic to find some new treasure to post on the forum. So I thought I would all let you see his attic and I wonder what he will find next for us   |

As you can see from Dave's shot I've had a tidy up recently. I managed to find this framed picture in the attic - sadly not autographed - which was getting rather dusty and maggot-infested. You may be able to spot a few grains of Dubai sand underneath the glass (perhaps the Torquay United multimedia souvenir franchise - heralding the start of our international branding expansion - wasn't so successful at Soccerex after all?).  Actually it comes from the cover of the Torquay v Accrington programme in which - we were told - Chris Roberts would reveal all. I got my copy in WH Smith which stocked it specially because of the anticipated - and unprecedented - demand for a such a fine souvenir of a truly momentus day. Indeed, you could still buy it in the Union Street shop - stocked neatly amongst the football books - after Roberts had left the club. |
