As some of you may know, myself and some friends arrange a small non profit making festival / private party called "T in the Hall"each year.
It is in somerset on the 30th / 31st august 2009 (sunday and monday bank holiday weekend).
We have hired a village hall in a very private location which has large field next to it for camping in tents or campervans / caravans.
We have secured a number of bands to play in the hall each late afternoon / evening. They range from heavy rock to indie style cover bands and eveything in between. We encourage everyone to join in if they want to do a "set" themselves.
There will also be dj's playing late into the night.
We are planning on having a marquee outside this year and arranging for some acoustic music to while away those sunny afternoons as well.
We encourage all ages (in fact last year the youngest was a few weeks right through to friends in their 60's!) there will be a kiddies
area with face painting, sumo wrestling , lantern making and anything else you want to bring along!
We have a small 5 a side football pitch and a fire pit for when it gets chilly in the evenings. we are also planning to have a drumming workshop this year and encourage everyone to bring something to make some noise!
There will be licensed bar and hot food stall available and we do not have any restrictions on bringing your own food and alcohol to keep your costs down.
We do not advertise this because it is essentially a private event and we do not encourage people we do not know to just turn up. We also have to avoid any local residents (who haven't even noticed we have done it twice before) being worried that we are arranging something they don't want.
As I have said this is completely non profit making and any profits that are made will be put forward to the following year (although trust me we don't ever make money on it! : ).
We ask everyone to pay £20 for their "ticket" which contributes to the costs of the party (pay the hire / bands / ticket printing / PA blah blah. Kids are free and very welcome.
I hope you are able to come along, let me know by email / pm and I will arrange a ticket for you.
You are welcome to let friends know about this and anyone who sells 10 tickets will have theirs free. We have a maximum of a
couple of hundred tickets due to the number allowed in the hall.
Please, please please though - do not post this on facebook / twitter / myspace ect because we have to keep it to word of mouth and friends of friends.
This promises to be a great weekend if last year is anything to go by.
If you want any more info just ask.
