What great pictures Chris, love the shot with all the steel work, must be clever people who design such structures. Were there a few problems during the game? only those by the fence seem to be running away in a later shot.
Thanks for putting them up.

Yes there was a bit of crowd trouble at half time. Vienna fans decided to storm the other terrace section and goad the family enclosure. God knows what they were running towards them for. Perhaps there was only one sausage left in the kiosk!
I will say that Austrian fans seem to have a fairly decent level of appreciation. I felt that the, unlike the Swiss, actually watch and clap moments of good play. The Swiss game I saw last year was a bit like they only were there to make noise and not really watch the game.

Whats the story with the penalty Chris? in the first picture you can see two balls, one near the side of the goal and one on the spot.
In the second picture you can see a player that looks like he is celebrating, but I can't see a ball in the goal. only the one still beside it.

I assume they have now decided to keep the upper tier? Originally the upper tier was only meant as a temporary structure for EURO 2008. I myself visited this stadium for its updated opening against Arsenal in 2007. A very impressive stadium in a beautiful city.

Its there, though not as clear as the ball next to the goal. Look in the top left corner.

I think I can see it Chris I was looking and looking last night and swore I could not see a ball over the line or anywhere in the netl. Thanks for showing me I need to go to spec savers tomorrow.

There were taking the the upper tier off the Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck last November when I was there. I guess the with Red Bulls money they have the greater ambition. I know its all relative but I thought Salzburg were a pretty decent side. It also must be said that it was the first time that I've ever watched a game of football on an artificial pitch. Quite handy for them to have one considering the weather. I bet the Red Bull chairman wishes they could play in the German Bundesliga! The border is only a few kilometres away!
