Well it seems so far that Yeovil are on top, but Rice seems to be in command, making plenty of good saves, well it is .com reporting ;D ;D

Dave, dont you think that sentiment may have clouded your judgement on Woods?? I thought he was very good up until our relegation season, since then he has lost about 3 yards of pace, lost his positional awareness and has the turning circle of the Titanic. His method of defending is to pull the opposition to the floor. I am also one of the few who likes Hargreaves at Centre Half. He reads the game well, wins the headers and can distribute the ball. Yes he does get caught out of position at times but he also intercepts a fair few. I thought he played well today, until he limped off, lets hope that was just a small niggle. I also think he is growing into the position and is starting to gel well with Toddy. I think we will be seeing Hargreaves at CH for the start of the season.

12 mins to go, we are looking solid, but Yeovil are asking all the questions, looks like we may have a game on tomorrow.

So while we await the outcome of the penalty shoot out, thats two games in one day and we did not get a goal from open play. I really hope that this is nothing to worry about. At least we seemed to hold our own against Yeovil, so we must keep alive the faith.

You would really need to know all Merse has said about Woods on forums over the last few years. You would then understand my views on Woods are more of a windup to get Merse going.

So final score 5 to 4 on pens our scorers were Dsane, Adams, Nicholson, Robertson and Rice.
The rest of the squad will travel back up to North Devon, for tomorrows game. A 3pm kick off at Bideford (spelled correctly to keep Merse happy) ;D ;D
