Just out of interest Leroy Rosenior was not at the game with Setanta last night. It seems alot of people thought they saw him but it could'nt have been. He was summerising for the BBC today on the olympic Brazil v Argentina semi. You can view highlights on BBC. com I did'nt know how to put a link to it but it was definatley him.

Summarising games in China from a distance is right up Leroy's street.....................remember how he tried to manage us from Bristol?

We've got to get rid of the notion that we can get away with playing TWO weaklings in a BSP side so Stevens has to go - he's hopeless playing on the left, no way can he hold the ball up and to me he's just a pint sized novelty act. Ditto Benyon, until he gets down to building himself up he'll continue to cost us possession in three out of four games. This is a tough old league and he just doesn't cut it. The only way to maximise Sills is to play the ball to his feet, he has the "pace" of a tortoise and what with having to carry Benyon his task looked hopeless last night, but he does have obvious strengths and as with all strikers we can only maximise them them if we play to them and likewise we need to accommodate his weaknesses i.e. with his lack of pace DON'T put the ball five yards in front of him! You can be as fit as you like, but constant losing of possession will render the fittest of sides puffing and blowing as they constantly have to chase the ball. Likewise if the ruddy thing keeps coming back because of the ineptitude of Stevens and Benyon in attempting to hold it up the same applies. I think you're a little harsh to Benyon here. You can't forgive Sills a bad performance because he's not being played to his strengths and in the same breath castigate Benyon for a weak showing while half-acknowledging that the reason for this is ALSO poor tactics. Yes, Sills stuggled and will always struggle with the ball played into his path to 'run' onto. It's not his job. Just as Benyon will always stuggle to hold up long balls against a beast like McCarthy. It's not his job either. Spin it around, and hey presto...Benyon could indeed have made a few of those through balls, and Sills could have held up a few of those long balls that were punted at Benyon. Not rocket science. Benyon can play an important role, but (and here's the rub) it's Buckle's fault that neither Benyon or Sills are doing themselves justice. As I said above, it's not rocket science. Though it seems to be beyond our esteemed management. I await my cynical cut-down...

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before as I can't be bothered to plough through so many pages of whinging but didn't we thrash Aldershot 0-3 at this stage last season??
They got their act together and pissed this league. This bunch are strangers to each other and the quicker bucks gets the right blend and things will improve or he will be out by Xmas.
