Right at the moment sacking the manager would only, as Dave R said, put the club in an even worse position and clubs that sack managers at this point usually see their seasons decent into farce. Clubs never sack their manager at this point in the season. I said I'd give him 10 games this season with the players he's brought in, as I didn't rate him from February onwards. I'm beginning to feel like I've given him 6 games too many. We'll see how things pan out at the end of the week as I think a truer picture will appear. As I said to someone earlier... "Who is beating us on Monday". I'd love to be proved wrong - honestly. Can't see it though.

I would be quite happy to see the two pronged Green/Dsane pairing go against any slow defence in this league and I thought in the time he was allotted Adams showed true passing class and composure....................the quality of which should provide a good service for these two who would surely make better use of it than the currently pedestrian Sills. Interesting how two people can see the same events, and draw opposing opinions. I felt that Sills was a catalyst for our second half performance, having a number of effects - firstly winning a far higher proportion of flick ons than Green- thus increasing our ball retention rate in the final third. Secondly, Crawley responded to this by applying two defenders to mark him, freeing up some additional space for others. Obviously their having an advantage of the extra man meant this was less costly to them, but would have a significant effect when we have 11 players. Thirdly Sills adds the kind of threat at set pieces that no one else in our squad seems to offer - witness the goal. I posted what I posted, make what you want of it Dave but I'm not getting into another tedious dung chucking contest with someone who insists on adding their own interpretation to virtually everything I post. But I'll ask this.....................how many agreed with the perception of Sills'"lazy" performance on Saturday - not one! How many took issue with my perception of Sills at Crawley at the time - just one...............Enzo! I rest my case. I have no wish to get get into a slanging match either and hope that this is my last post on it - I actually thought your first response was about as magnanimous as you get..............if you are happy to suggest that a player is a sulker and won't go the extra mile and still convince yourself that you are not questioning their integrity then fair enough. In my opinion, many Centre Forwards would rather be labeled lazy than have someone insinuate that they were somehow affected by a particular centre back........but different strokes for different folks - we obviously have a different interpretation of what constitutes integrity I would have taken that as fair enough - Unfortunately, having been prodded by Dave, you got slightly more defensive with your second response and peddled an untruth. I have not checked the full thread, but the quote above clearly highlights that Enzo was not the only person to take issue with your criticisms of Sills at Crawley. Sorry for AdamProwse for dragging him into this. Hope you don't mind me quoting you. You've rested your case.

You won't need to post again on it Enzo, as you say Merse has rested his case, just as well really, all he could do now is to dig an even deeper hole for himself.
