Match Thread Yet another game that we all know we need to get three points, [glow=red,2,300]a win may just kick start our season[/glow]. i think you may just be right with that. I remember in our relegation season from league 2 a game against Grimsby on a Friday night, in fact it was one of the only games i got to see at home that season. Lee Thorpe had a blinder leading the team to a 4-1 victory and I couldn't believe we were in the position we were, I thought that could be a turning point in our season, but how did we follow it up, 5-0 defeat to Mansfield wasn't it? This time however I really feel that a good dominant victory could kick start our season, and I do feel we have the potential to do it. Another defeat and I will contemplate thinking about......worrying. Big game therefore.

OK I know I operate at slightly "advanced hours" from most others on here, but it amazes me that with all the prattling on about cheaper food, info from the club and the style of play theorists; something as truly newsworthy as 16 year old Ashley Yeoman being included in the squad for tonight's game has passed without comment. A striker too, although I wouldn't expect him to start; is he being taken along to begin to get used to the First Team experience on an away trip or as a "kick in the pants" stimulus for disappointing performances from Green and Dsane so far and we'll see him on the subs bench tonight? It's not often we have included such a young player in our squad at any time but sixteen year old strikers/forwards who HAVE come in and made a mark include Kevin Lane, Richard Gosling, Maurice Cox, David Byng, and Tony Bedeau. Does anyone who has actually seen young Yeoman play, think he has what it takes to make a mark if he was to be used tonight?

It all starts tonight.
I believe that OUR season will start today. Some might think its just blind passion, but you can not deny that we have played reasonably well over the last 2 games and most certainly deserved 6pts from those 2 games. It maybe needs a trigger action, some piece of luck?? Who cares.
There has been some debate on here about which type of football we have been playing or should be playing but quite frankly i would settle for the worst game in living memory and a goal in the 98th minute that was not deserved and shouldn't even have been allowed. Actually now i sound desperate. But all i care about tonight is 3pts.
I can honestly see us winning the game and am going for 2-0.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS.

Another game wher we have the lion's share of the possession but cannot score. 1-0 to Kiddie at half-time with a well taken goal from a break down their right.

Dreadful!
We NEVER looked like scoring .... time for Buckle to go I'm afraid.
Play Offs .... forget it ! We are in a relegation struggle.

I'm sure we've all been waiting for a late goal but it hasn't happened. It was a good game and we had the chance to take a result.
To Carlisle - well played.
To the rest - well played.
Panic yet? Not for me.

to many really poor players. Sills, Nicholson, Woods and Mansell should not even be in the 16 let alone the 1st 11.
Buckle got it all wrong, we needed the pace of Green, Benyon and Carayol from the start.

Merse Kevin Lane, Richard Gosling, Maurice Cox, David Byng, and Tony Bedeau None of them lasted for long though did they? They were all very much, with the exception of Bedeau one off short term impacts and disappeared into the footballing ether

Carayol is a good player - not brilliant but good. He didn't start according to Sultana due to an illness (cold?), so that was fair. Sills is struggling but he doesn't become a bad player over one season. Mansell played OK in what is his best position, thought that midfield was mpre combatative and was happier for it.
