I will put this match thread up as its still a TUFC game, I would expect tufc01 and Barton will be at the game, so we may get a report on the game. Not sure many first teamers will be playing in the game.

Ellis may be lucky, I see tufc01 has just been on, so pinning my hopes on Barton Downs now.

Or Jon, maybe? I noticed elsewhere that we were 1 nil up, Stevens the scorer.

thanks Rob, yes Jon may have gone, but Barton seems to go everywhere so I'll put money on it that he is there.

Ellis may be lucky, I see tufc01 has just been on, so pinning my hopes on Barton Downs now. I was on route to the game, via a garage in Ashburton where my poorly car was being fixed, and got caught in the traffic jam of a very nasty accident on the A38 on the Newton Abbot slip road. Sat there for 1 hour 20 minutes, so no reports from me I'm afraid. Anyway still working on last nights report first

Yes I went and met up with Barton there.
We lined up :
Fisher Kelly Palmer Ellis Milton Hemming Stevens Adams Beattie Yeoman Christie
For the second half, Stevens moved to the right wing, Hemming swapped to the left and Beattie went centre midfield. Cherrill replaced Beattie near the end.
Two nil with one in each half from Danny - the first a drive from the edge of the box, the second rounding the keeper on a through-ball and finishing into an empty net. Danny also hit the bar.
A decent workout and good experience for the youngsters playing against older opponents. The four pros all got in a good 90 minutes.
I picked up a couple of points of interest during the evening. It appears Jordan Charran has left the club - shame as he he had a great game when I saw the youths play Exeter and looked promising in his runouts as sub in the first team. We have spoken to the Devon FA about Coach Road but they are asking silly money.
Had a good chat with Colin Lee after the game - mainly chewing over the Weymouth situation. Bucks came over to say goodbye as he left - didn't seem to be a problem between them to me. Tom Kelly was in the crowd watching his son.
A nice civilised evening with pasty and chips at £2.50 and a very drinkable coffee for 50p.
Dropped Barton at the bus stop just in time for the 10 o'clock bus - or did I?

Two nice goals from Stevens and - as the report on the official site suggests - just the right sort of opposition for the side we had out tonight. Elmore should provide pretty much the same test in the next round.
However I must confess I've not much to add as I spent most of the match with only half-an-eye on the game as I enjoyed the good company of Jon chatting away about the grounds of the early 1900s, the away trip to Bournemouth which saw in the 1980s, football in Guimaraes and Braga, all those people who've claimed to have played for Torquay United (but never did), the importance of Westlands in moulding Yeovil Town's support, Weymouth (inevitably), Richard Goslin and Bradley Beattie, oddballs who taught us both and - of course (at much length) - the quirks of various people who inhabit this site. With tea at 50p a cup not a bad way to spend an evening.

Good to see Christie play a full ninety minutes as he is looking somewhat chunky at present - or am I being unfair? ( Akinfenwa)
