we have lost our way upfront without the goalless green. That's put that right. Get in. As someone who has been a big critic, that's nine points Carlisle's got us with three of his late late shows. Promotion form, despite a powder puff attack without Sills. Great stuff.

In all seriousness, this is a great result. A tight game and some real pressure. Felt the defense held up well. Carlisle shows his class again. Time to give him a full run now surely?

Carlisle like Benyon plays better when coming off the bench. If that gets results more of the same please.

If Cambridge hadn't got a late winner then would have been a perfect evening.

when a forum goes 24 hours and only got 20 posts, I'm not surprised we hear a story like this and remarks he did not travel as he might upset the rest of the squad, this is a player who has given everything for the team this season and sorry but the timing when we are pushing for promotion seems strange to me. Under the terms of PFA contracts, when a player is out of contract at the end of a season the club is obliged to indicate whether it will make him an offer that matches or improves his current one by the end of January. So assuming the player has NOT received this offer, he might well have been talking to other clubs (as he is then legally entitled to) or trying to negotiate with the club on a different deal. Contractual matters CANNOT all be left until the season is over, it just doesn't work like that Dave, and there will be hundreds of players playing out their time with clubs at this stage of the season knowing full well they will be on their bike come June. Don't forget we already have central defenders Robertson (?), Ellis, Brough Hodges and Todd ALL already under contract for next season..................I can well see Woods being surplus to requirements in the interests of the further development of Robertson and Ellis.
