Weather forecast is not looking good, barely above freezing all day in the Notts area for Tuesday. I do think Pete that the game may well not be played, not sure how I feel about that, on the one hand the players may just not have recovered properly from the cup game, so not playing could be to our advantage. On the other hand they might be so much up for the game, still having the great buzz winning the cup game would have given them.

I don't think Sills has to serve a ban as after Xmas it goes to 10 bookings

The latest from 'oop North' from Burton themselves....
Hi Andy Yes the cold snap has reached the Pirelli Stadium. At this time the match is going ahead but as a heavy frost is expected overnight, we will not know for definite until tomorrow morning that the match will go ahead. Regards Rosie Marshall Administrator

Regards Rosie Marshall Administrator Despite wishful thinking to the contrary, I can categorically state that the Pirelli Stadium does not have under soil heating and that therefore will be at the mercy of the local environment which holds a glimmer of hope in that it is very near the water table of the Trent which gives the pitch a fairly good record of being playable whilst other nearby grounds are frozen. So many local factors and vagaries to take into consideration, including quality of grass cover and artificial pitch protection available; but a decision WILL be made by noon tomorrow.

Thanks longeatongull for the update, our boys just need to play the way they did on Saturday and if they can reproduce that form, it will not matter what happens up at Burton. ;D

I don't think Sills has to serve a ban as after Xmas it goes to 10 bookings HE says his ban is for the Trophy match on Saturday, regardless of whether tomorrows game is on/off.

What a shame, I really fancied taking them on in their own backyard tonight! Let's hope that both clubs, the BSP AND Setanta get their heads together to get this game on live TV where it belonged tonight and not a lame duck game like Weymouth v York..................I bet Setanta were spitting when OUR game with Albion was re-arranged when they were already committed to that one! Dates available and free from possible replay disruption: Mon Feb 9th or Thur Feb 12th. would do for starters!
