Capital Gulls Mag
As you will know the talk is that the Capital Gulls are reforming and so this forum has provided a board for them. It is hoped they will use it to arrange meetings, post up notes from any meetings and treat us all to reports on their days out.
I was told a few months ago that there are now many younger gulls’ fans that have moved to London since the Capital Gulls stopped having meetings etc, so I’m sure there is plenty of younger blood up there who would love to play a role in the Capital Gulls.
There has been a thread running about what you might like to see in a new look programme, well I will be honest and say at the time the Capital Gulls produced their own mag on sale to all TUFC fans, I never bought programmes, only the Capital Gull Mag.
I would look high and low to find Romfordkev as he sold them at Plainmoor after driving all the way down here as he did then for most home matches. I got one out today and had forgot just what a quality production it was, not some cheap looking bits pf paper in a plain old cover, not a real glossy affair and more important such a good read.
Its great to see so many who where involved with the mag as members on this forum and I thought it would be great to put one up, not only as a reminder of what we now miss, but also so any who has never seen one before, will have the chance to now.
I have chosen one that had a strong message in it from merse, the future of the mag was not looking to good and Merse was putting out a rally call to try and get more to help run the mag and keep it going.
A few things I noticed while reading it,
A match report that states how Leroy was making a silk purse out of a pig’s ear.
Matt Hockley gets much praise.
I’m sure you will find other things of interest to you; it really is a good read.
