I could not believe the J.Vine show today ran a story where it claimed it was a victory for short men, just because the new speaker in parliament is five foot six inches tall. Sorry but that sounds big to me and why do some feel that a small man can't do a job as well as a tall man? They played a record I have never heard before, I must confess it did make laugh in places, I loved the bit about having to pick small people up just to talk with them, but was not sure about the bit small people have dirty minds.

My sister is only just 5 ft, so to wind her up, as a good brother should do, I used to play ` We don`t want no short people round here`, can`t remember who wrote it or even if that is the correct title but I`m sure if your short you`ll know the song! Sorry Dave I was only being shortist towards my sister, not all short folk, midgets, dwarves, gravity enhanced and The Anti- tall persons, so please don`t take this seriously! ;D

Not sure I'd categorise 5 foot six necessarily as short but certainly in the Western world there are career benefits to be more than average height - it's a human nature thing (subconciously the the population over all favour taller {men} as being intelligent and competant).
For democracy and our version of Party politics, however, I fail to see how this is a victory for anyone. To me it smacks of the current Government giving one last tweak to the nose of their likely successors. Yep, after 200 years of history they all still act like immature spoilt public school boys (even the {formerly} working class ones and women).
One last political point - ever noticed that UK plc operates perfectly well during the summer recess - so, would we ever notice that much if they never came back from one?*
*Yes, yes, I know; we'd have no new laws and there'd be nothing to knock Jordan off the front pages...

I am so sick of reading about that massively over inflated be-atch, she needs a slap with a big wet self-respecting fish, the cow oozes spite and spoilt be-atchness!
