Many posters wrongly believed that Dave R and Paul R were bothers, I suppose when anyone looks and sees our user names both end in an R, they could be forgiven for thinking that.
Paul has been on the forum from its early days and was away for a while last summer, as he cycled around the USA I believe. He wanted to help the forum sponsor a player and knowing I go to Taunton two times a week, suggested I could collect his payment from his house.
I phoned him this morning from Yeovil and said I just had to go up to Weston-Super-Mare and then do four calls in Bridgwater and I hoped to be in Taunton by 12.30pm.
Well at 12.31 pm I was in the road he live in and phoned again to get the house number etc. I was soon at his front door and Paul was standing there to greet me, but he did make one fatal mistake, he offered me in for a coffee.
I have to say he makes a great cup and soon he found our first hand that the stories that Dave R can talk for England were so true. One hour and fifty minutes worth I gave him and I would not be surprised if his ears were not hurting after I left.
While it made my day very long( I left home at 5.10am this morning and got home at 17.45PM) it was such a welcome change to stop and take a break during my working day.
Another really top man to meet and talk with and guess what? we will do it again. So many thanks Paul was so great to meet and talk with you and thanks for all your support on the forum
