If by stating DCL you are refering to the Devon County League, you must be mistaken as Chudleigh never played in that now defunct league.

I assume we're talking about the Devon Cricket League?
Lee Barrow for Barton?
And we should pause to reflect that poor old Terry Lee - a goal keeper from the 1970s - died when playing cricket for Barton.
On another note, I saw a Torquay United XI play a Dickie Bird XI - at cricket I hasten to add - when the old umpire was pro at Paignton in the late 1960s or early 1970s....
Jeff Tolchard played a few first team games for TUFC and rather more for Leicestershire CCC.

Kenny Allen- Chudleigh cricket club Kenny also played for Barton for several years in the premier league, he was a useful`ish middle order batter and a specialist, very sharp gulley fielder (hands like shovels!). I was playing for Torquay in those days, the local derbies were fiery affairs back then, it was customary to get a sledging when you reached the wicket.......the sight of Kenny coming to the wicket 6ft 5`ish.......slightly mad eyes, wielding a bat meant that our lot were slightly more respectful . A few years later we both played for Paignton, Kenny had been asked to captain the 2nd's and i was captain for the 1st's......selection nights used to involve several pints, Kenny smoking my fags and recounting tales of his football career at TUFC etc., we'd eventually get around to picking the teams. I remember one training night, kenny broke his bat in the nets and nicked mine which was a new custom made job (much cheaper way of buying bats)........only they'd got my specifications wrong and had sent me one with 5 handle grips and a ridiculously long handle.......kenny loved it, reckoned he`d been looking for a bat like that all his life and asked to borrow it for the weekend......he got a 100 and i never saw that bat again
