What about a team made up of players who either before of after appearing for the gulls played in the South Devon, South Western or Devon County league? My choice may not be 100% correct and is not the best but can anyone think of a better lineup?
1. Robbie Robbins (Newton Abbot) 2. John Uzzell (Buckfastleigh) 3. Ian Twitchin (Teignmouth) 4. Derek Fowler (S.T.C) 5. Steve Cooper (Newton Abbot 66) 6. Steve Carpenter (S.T.C) 7. Andy Provan (W.B.B) 8. Ian Bastow (Upton Ath) 9. Justin Newell (Newton Spurs) 10. Andy Best (Teignmouth) 11. Mark Loram (Brixham Villa)
Subs,
13. Trevor Webber (Buckland) 14. Wayne Hockley (Dartington) 15. Dave Rudge (Newton Abbot) 16. Tony Fowler (Foxhole United) 17. Dave Kennedy (Brixham Villa)

My first thought was to question why have you stuck Super Coops at centre-half rather than centre-forward. Then I remembered that Coops ended up playing at the back due to his knees being totally knackered. If I ever catch up with the bloke who did that to him ...... Loads of players have passed through local teams - but I suppose we should keep this to those who made a significant contribution. The thread on my favourite TUFC manager would make me suggest Mike Green. He played for quite a while for Newton Abbot in the SWL - Twitch was player-manager at the time. I think he ended up playing alongside his son for St Marychurch in the SDL. I think that Spurs had merged with the Old Grammarians by then - but I could be wrong.

Jordan Charron doing well at Barnstaple, scored twice Saturday. He looked promising, so why did we get shot of him?
I remember playing Marldon when i was at Harbertonford and there was an ex-TUFC centre back. He was a giant and did not appreciate me making an idiot of him. i knocked the ball one side and ran around the other side and nearly scored. the next time I tried it I was conveniently tripped, which the ref conveniently didn't see. not sure of his name.
btw does the power line still go across the pitch??
