I think that the match day program for this season looks very good. Its certainly better than it has been for a while.
It makes for a good read, has several interesting articles and the forum's 2 page article is a very good idea.
I always buy a program, more out of habit than anything else i think, but rarely get around to reading it. Perhaps now i might just make the time to read it.

That's a great advert for the Forum and an equally good profile for the match day programme on here.................well done to all concerned for getting this off the ground and don't I just love those "interactive" programme features which give a taste of just what it's like to be a long suffering fan, a travelling fan and and underlines just what makes us all tick!

Merse I can't tell you how frilled to bits I was yesterday when I opened up the programme and saw our own two pages in there. This has mainly come about because the club has Darryl who is so enthusiastic and working so hard to improve the TUFC matchday programme.
I'm so pleased to be able to work with him on ideas and I noticed that in yesterdays programme there were a few scanned images form a programme 50 years ago. This will be a feature in all the programmes this season and just maybe Darryl got the idea after reading our very own history room.
Talking about old programmes etc, I'm sure many members have some real gems in their collections and I would love to get them up in our history room. If you do own any real old programmes, then why not scan then and send them to the forum via the email address.
torquayfansforum@yahoo.co.uk
I'm more than happy to do the work necessary to resize and host the images and really hope you will consider sending me your scans etc.
many thanks Dave R

I mentioned it on the match day thread but I thought it was an excellent article in a programme that I now really look forward to reading and probably the best thing about going to the match yesterday! Nice to see all the features and improvements that have been made, well done and thanks to everyone who has been involved.

I echoe the comments made above! A great advert for this forum and it's members! Even more so when you think this forum is only 459 days old and in that time has reached nearly every goal I set for it. There are still a few to go, but I see no reason why they won't be reached. Setting ideals at the beginning was I felt important and the first one was that the forum had to earn its right to be a forum in its own right, it was never going to be good enough to be seen as just the alternative forum. It also had to earn its title as a quality forum and one that while fully independent, could work along side the club and enjoy a good relationship with it. I believe our forum will only get even better and I hope it gives all its members something good that they enjoy, for our part as members as long as we can give something back to the forum, then it can only have a great future and I should add you are so correct about it being a good advert for the members on here. It is they and only they who make this forum what it is, together we are all on a journey and my role is really only as the driver.

How great that after buying an reading the Barnet matchday programme, that John Heard who was a player in the A team when we played our first floodlit games at Plainmoor, joined the TFF and was able to recall events at the time.
There is a more light hearted piece from our history room in todays programme, so I hope if you are at the game you will buy one, you never know it might be a piece you wrote in todays programme.
