Its Queen month on Planet Rock and they have just played the entire `A Night at the Opera`album together with the stories behind the songs.
It of course includes Bohemian Rhapsody which,I would think is most peoples all time favorite Queen track, but my favorite from the album is `You`re My Best Friend`.
It said to be the greatest ever Queen album ever,I don't disagree with that, but my favorite is `Sheer Heart Attack`.

My favourite is News of the World but on A night at the Opera it has to be Love of My Life.

Got to agree with Phil here - Queen II undoubtedly my favourite. Always brings back memories of Festival Theatre 1974. Personally, I lost all interest in the band after A Night at the Opera. We Will Rock You and We are the Champions etc do nothing for me I'm afraid!

I was gutted that Ian Hunter had a sore throat or something - being a 'Seadiver' I really wanted to see them. Quite agree about later Queen - overrated IMO.

As iv`e mentioned before, it`s Queen month on Planet Rock and they have been running a poll to find out their greatest ever track. They have just played the top ten which are as follows: 1.Bohemian Rhapsody.(Predictable). 2.Seven Seas of Rhye. 3.Don`t Stop Me Now. 4:We Will Rock You. 5.Killer Queen. 6.Show Must Go On. 7.Who Wants to Live Forever. 8.Somebody to Love. 9.Radio Ga Ga. 10.We are the Champions. Although I like all the songs,I am a bit baffled why some of them are in the top ten. They don`t play a lot of Queen on Planet Rock so I can only assume that a lot of people who are not dedicated fans and don`t have their albums have voted for the track they associate with Queen the most. This may be sour grapes by me,but I am disappointed that some of favourite tracks are not included, but then again we all have different tastes. Some tracks that I would of liked to of been in the top ten: Brighton Rock from Sheer Heart Attack. I`m in Love My car,You`re My Best Friend,39 from A Night At The Opera. Tie Your Mother Down from A Day At The Races. Fat Bottomed Girls from Jazz. Plus many others I could mention.

Monterey Pop Festival (Starting with disc 1 and hopefully finishing off with disc 4 later). Time to prepare the mis-en-place for tonights Cottage Pie and then cut the potatoes and veg for Christmas day lunch. Well lets go and have a cup of tea and ready the papers....
