"Flowers and Football (Futba') Tops" by the mighty Glasvegas... ........when the "You are my sunshine......." bit kicks in at the end, not a dry eye in the house, guaranteed........ .....Hi Phil Chelst!!...... ....I thoroughly enjoyed the Prog rock programme on BBC4 too, also the Mike Oldfield "Tubular Bells" one - I recall us all at TBGS discussing this when it first came out (hi andygulls fellow ex-TBGS'er 72-77 for me (Andy L) - Chris Donovan of 1C/2A1/3A1/4H/5B here!!!).... .......never really realised how painfully shy Mike Oldfield still is - still, rock takes all sorts!!!!....... Neigh........

A double CD and where it has come from is a mystery, it has been found in the house, brand new and still wrapped and no one here has a clue how or why it is here.
its an original recording
its called Icons and its the great Elvis.

Hi Dave
.......surely one of "pop music's" great iconic moments was Elvis doing "Unchained Melody" live at the piano - it is on Youtube and was filmed a few weeks before he passed away - the sight of him is shocking and so very distressing but the immense power he still had in that voice was truly incredible.......
rgds
Chris
"Ocean Rain" - Echo And The Bunnymen
"Quit This Town" - Eddie And The Hot Rods
"Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters" - Elton John

I'll have a look for it and put it up on here, I'm sure it will be sad to view, I sang so many Ellis songs in my shows and always loved singing Always On My Mind just for Carol.

At least he was sitting without his trousers round his ankles unlike his actual "final appearance" I never got to appreciate the guy until he was gone.................shame for me though really; I especially like "Wonder Of You" and "Always On My Mind" the sentiments of which I could so easily apply to my past life!
