I don't know what its been like where you live, but here in Paignton, this film as been on for weeks and they are still turning people away, because the cinema is full.
It must have been over ten years since I went to a cinema and I must confess this was my first visit, to the new one in Paignton. You may know I had planned to go in the afternoon, until Sean rung me and talked about doing the interview.
It at least gave us the chance to buy our tickets in advance, so we were sure to get in and see the film. I found it so funny and laughed all the way through it, despite worrying what that Merse and Fonda purist might be getting up too. Julie Walters made me laugh the most and this film gave me a real feel good factor, I have not felt for a while.
So have you seen it, what did you think, is there any part that really sticks out, that you enjoyed the most.

Seen it, It must be one of the worst and one of the best films I have seen in years.
It was truely awful and truely brilliant all at the same time.
It was a comedy so did it make me laugh?...............yes
It was a musical so where the songs fun ?...............yes
It should be feel good so did it make me feel goood?.......yes
It did exactly what it said on the tin. If I had to criticise it I would say some of the songs felt shoe horned into it..... The money money money bit was just dreadful. Mind you, the does your mama know sketch was just superb.
All in all a good camp night out!
All together now..........."I've been waiting for you since I don't know........."

Jamie mate, it was the best film I have seen in such a long time, so funny and the way the songs just started in a scene was brilliant. This film has put Abba's greatest hits back in the charts as the no1 album.
The night we went everyone sat down through the whole film, but some family went on a different night and they said everyone was standing up dancing like crazy.
I had to get up three time mind you. No I did not need the toilet, before you say at my age I should, no some young girl got my row up as first she forgot to get popcorn and the other two times was anybodies guess.

Can't think of anything worse than people in the audience singing and dancing along to a film!! Very "American"! If I've paid good money to watch something why would I want to have some sweaty, fat chav swinging her ass in front of the screen blocking my view and drowning out the soundtrack with her out of tune wailing?

Can't think of anything worse than people in the audience singing and dancing along to a film!! Good job the Plainmoor stewards aren't working there then. Mind you, do you think there's a chance that after two decades of tedium the "Stand Up.............." song can be consigned to the dustbin this season? I remember at Salisbury last season, the seats were so close together, standing up was a physical impossibility!
