Hello all past, present and future Capital Gulls. Since no one else came up with a definitive date/time for a meeting on this board, and two off it have said they would like to meet up on a Friday rather than midweek when unavailable, the meeting will be on FRIDAY JUNE 26 from 7:00PM at MABEL'S TAVERN in Euston. The old CGs venue will do for this meeting, when perhaps we can discuss having monthly meetings again, maybe thinking about a different venue as well. Hope to see as many people as possible at Mabel's! The map below shows location - right between King's Cross and Euston stations. maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF-8&q=mabel%27s+tavern&near=London&fb=1&split=1&gl=uk&cid=10725168432562070505&li=lmd

A big thanks to those who turned up at Mabel's last night - little did I know when leaving the pub (completely sober I'll have you all know) that it would take me almost 3 1/2 hours to get home, but thems the breaks I guess!!
Nice to meet up with Mark (Islington/Lambeth Gull) and the 'old' faces Merse, WestHamSallie, Romford Kev, Jaildodger Gull, Crooky and a few non-forumites.
And that should be the first in a long line of CG meetings, maybe continuing at Mabel's or another boozer near Euston called the Bree Louise, which has come highly recommended to us. We are expecting to keep to Friday night meetings for now, since that was the consensus among those who turned up last night.
I am also going to try and resurrect a newsletter of sorts, although it would be an online one rather than a magazine, since none of us seem to have the time to make such a commitment as we used to be able to.
All the best Andy

I think this "one off iconic" garment should stand up there with the green and white QPR bobble hats I once saw being sold (and bought) for 50p each in Dalston Market!

Do you think "The Funeral" will go on a world tour with 50 nights at the 02?
