I only taken two photos but I taken aload more with my memory and I`ll have them for a very long time. Me and Kenny Allan. He is a great entertainer Legend. Quality. Mr. Legend. Great to talk to and will talk to anyone who approches.

Thanks I got the haircutthe day before yesterday as it was getting a bit long. It would have been good to have kept it lnog for the night then I really would have looked like Shaggy, or Forest Gump as my mum likes to say.
I`d say I`m more like Scappy, annoying but always comes out good in the end.

This really was a spectacularly brilliant evening.
I can't thank Lou enough for organising it all.
I thought it was going to be good but it was far far better than I dared hope.
My table-mates tufc01 and Barton have covered much of what needs saying, but I'm sure we will all come up with other little bits and pieces - maybe we should stick a thread on the history board for them.
I was genuinely touched when the legendary Frank O'Farrell thanked US for being such loyal supporters and keeping the spirit of the club alive. What a legend he is!

What can I add other than to say what a wonderful evening it was. Frank O farrell's story about Sir Matt Busby offering him a contract was absolutely priceless , as was Kenny Allen's anecdote about the boot room (sorry people you have to have been there) Another highlight for me was the story Kevin Hill told about the gentleman in the hotel room next to him (Fawlty Tower's "The kipper and the corpse" springs to mind ) A very, very special evening for everyone. We will be repeating it around Christmas time and the line is already being planned. Watch this space.

Ooops. I do need to apologise profusely to Jamie. Barton and I promised him we'd give him a hand down the stairs with Dave's PA gear just as soon as we'd finished a quick chat with Sir Robin of Stubbs. We were still gassing by the time Jamie and Dave had done it all themselves - although I think tufc01 did help out.
Sorry Jamie!

.........hey fantastic stuff, esp Dave R for the piccies and Barton Downs for the tremendous post re the night out with the Legends - all we needed was Mark Loram but hey then we'd prob still be there now - he wouldnt mind me saying that I know..........
ps
Barton Downs - luv all ya historical posts!! - keep it up dude!!
.......personally speaking, how pleased I will be on Sunday like the rest of us to see our glorious Golden Bhoys walk out onto the Wembley turf.......when I first attended Plainmoor in Nov 1971, Keith Newton was playing actually - how sad is that to remember that eh - TUFC v Blackburn? - what is it now 5 times at Wembley?........ha, as if I have to ask.........that I would see my favourite footy team as a boy play at Wembley 5 times..........and me not even 50........
have a good day gang, and great to see Frank O'Farrell looking so well on those phots...............
.....the Torch it is.............anyone who dont know where that is, well.............
...Come on You Yellows.....

Well, thank you, Mr_W.
I remember the Blackburn game in 1971 which we won 3-1. Little did I know that within a dozen years I'd be a semi-regular at Ewood for a few seasons.
And who was manager of the Rovers on that day?

I do think Jamie is overdue a big thank you, he did not finish work until 5pm, yet was at my house in Paignton by 6pm. He got to meet Carol and also Cleo(parrot)came out to see him, she was in fine form and I think he liked her. Then he loaded up all the gear and got the heavier bits up into no 10s After he got it all back in his car again and drove me home to Paignton, unloaded it all back into my home and then had to drive back to Torquay. Thanks Jamie, it really would not have fitted in the car I drive
