Plenty of non league teams listed here. How did they get on? Never heard of Denaby United,i`m sure Barton or Jon do though. Denaby United folded in 2002 and came from the South Yorkshire pit village of Denaby Main between Rotherham and Doncaster. They lost 2-0 to Oldham that day. See www.fchd.info/DENABYU.HTM Shrewsbury survived their trip to the Isle of Wight and won after a replay whilst Yeovil beat Southend after a replay. The big story was Tooting and Mitcham beating Bournemouth and then Northampton in the second round. They then held Nottingham Forest to a 2-2 draw in the third round before losing 3-0 in the replay. Forest, of course, went on to win the FA Cup that season. |

There's a note in that Port Vale programme about the signing of Len Graham who had only recently played for Northern Ireland against England.
Graham could have easily have been the first player to be fully-capped whilst with Torquay United but he didn't stay long and soon went off to become player-manager of Ards.
