Result: 5-3 (Collins,Conley,Lewis 2,Mills). Attendance: 9414. We repeated this score with a win at Aldershot three days later(Cropley OG,Collins 2,Conley,Mills). Are we downhearted? Yes we are!!!

Are we downhearted? Yes we are!!! Brilliant stuff Timbo. That refrain dates at least as far back as 1912 and was mentioned here: torquayfansforum.com/index.cgi?board=tufchistory&action=display&thread=1909I wonder if Follis' attempts at lifting the spirits gained him the scorn and abuse he would be subjected to nowadays for his "blinkered stupidity". Rex can't stick the "hot music". Not TUFC01's grandad, is he? Or a young(ish) Chelstongull writing under a false name? Sam Collins is in and out of the team. In his first three seasons with us, he only played in just over half the League matches but still had a better than 1 in 2 strike rate - 36 in 70 to be precise. I wonder if there was a lot of debate about whether this particular Bristol City reject was the club's best finisher or was too lightweight to start regularly.

Elliot Benyon to open a newsagents' on Forest Road? You heard it here first. Sounds like Rex wouldn't have appreciated mobile phones at football and - picking up on that "hot music" - I wonder when Plainmoor got its first PA system? And was Pete Wiley the hot music man? No, slightly before his time.... Cue A Banda....
