Just back from the game, shaking with cold and anger.
It's true that we should have the game wrapped up by the time they scored their first, but this was a good side in opposition today and, to be honest, we played no worse than against Cheltenham and Darlington (didn't see the Hereford match).
It was a tragedy that we gave the game up in the very last minute of added time, but what has made me so mad were the antics of the so-called referee, whom Merse has summed up perfectly.
Two of their bookings, especially the foul by Connell, were probably deserved, as was Adam Smith's poor tackle, but all of the others were unfathomable and can only have included the heinous offences of speaking or appealing to the 'referee', or pehaps 'looking at him in a funny way'.
The most ridiculous were those against Mansell, who had just been jumped at by Connell, and Poke, who slightly delayed the taking of a goal kick

I have actually just sent an e-mail to the Football League, asking them to obtain a copy of the DVD and thereafter debar this Mr Singh from ever again officiating at a match higher than Ryman or Isthmian League level.
I'm not holding my breath in anticipation of any action, but someone had to try and draw their attention to how clueless this fellow is.

You must post their reply!
I wonder what he will be marked by the assessor. Perhaps he was only following the FA rules? What Le way is given in the rules to allow the ref to use his 'common'.
Me, I don't care where he's from and who he prays to - IF he's good enough he's in IF NOT then he's out.
Has he reffed at Plainmoor at all?

Lower league poor officials strike again by the sound of it. I know Stewart and know any thing he says like that is not meant with any malice. We should get better refs cos it's real "proper" football outside the prem. Blood and guts stuff !!

A great performance by the team which added to the fury at the final whistle about a highly debatable decision which has cost us at least a point.
Great following by the yellow army. I would say there were at least a thousand there supporting.
We started the game really well and were well on top for the first twenty minutes. Bournemouth came into the game more as the half went on but it was fair to say that we shaded the first 45 minutes of action.
Unfortunately for the referee he booked a couple of players very early on for minor fouls and this set the standard for the rest of the game.
The second half started with bournemouth having a good spell before a good finish by Rendell sent the yellow army into raptures.
The rest of the second half seem to go on with chances at both ends. Feeneys great finish for bournemouth seemed to ensure that both teams would end up with a point.
Smith passed when closing down on goal and a chance we had was wasted. The referees performance seemed to get worse as the game went on. Poke was then booked for alledged time wasting. This decision was only given after the referee had reacted once again to the bournemouth supporters.
I cannot say whether it was a penalty or not too bournemouth in injury time as very difficult to see from 70 yards away. However, my bournemouth supporting brother in law was in the home end and he stated " it was never a penalty ". Mr Singh obviously saw something that the majority of the people in the ground didnt. The penalty was tucked away and that was that unfortunately.
A very disappointing end to a game in which we played well. A referee decision has ultimately cost us and you could see from the players reactions at the final whistle that we felt hard done by.
However looking on the positives we played well away from home and if we continue to play like that we will finish comfortably away from the danger zone. That is the only comfort today from one of those days when it feels like we have been proverbally kicked in the teeth !

....Well that's football and sport for you, kicks you in the teeth every now and then, having been to Bournemouth last time (the 96th minute equalizer) it's hard to believe that history would repeat itself.....but it did and this time it was worse, bloody heartbreaking in fact.
We had played so well against a good side.......despite the fact that we outplayed them in every department, they never gave up and they scrapped and fought like a team should in their lofty position, against a lesser side in this league then it might have been a 3 or 4 nil'er easily.......Bournemouth should go up comfortably, teams that can turn games like that into wins, albeit with a large slice of (maybe ) helpful refereeing get promotion.......end of.
1st half we did most of the pressing without creating many clear opportunities, Zebroski had the best chance but his shot from 10 yards was on the tame side, B'mouth created very little of note and to be honest it had goaless draw written all over it, we also had a hell of a lot of corners but never threatened to score with any of them, something that needs to be worked on..........i suppose that is one of the downsides to not having Nicho and Sills in the side these days. The 2nd half was terrific, end to end high tempo stuff, we deservedly took the lead on the hour with Rendell steering the ball home well from 10 yards.......if only he had managed to convert one of the other chances that fell to him........as a second would have settled it. Bournemouth pushed us back as the 2nd half wore on and the defending, full of guts and determination, became a little more frantic......still they didn't look like scoring.......until they did a few minutes from time, when a ball broke fortunately for them on the edge of the box and the lad shot across Poke, who had looked so secure, into the far corner. Even then we didn't sit back we had a couple of good opportunities to win it again, when fine runs from Benyon and the MOM Smith led to the ball just needing to be touched in by someone....anyone!!!
Then came THE talking point......deep into injury time, the ball was hopefully lifted into our box, up went Fletcher and Robbo neither won the ball and both players ended up in a heap around the penalty spot........from 70 yards away it was impossible to tell what had happened but you kind of knew that Mr Singh, who had done his best to steal the limelight from an entertaining game with (8-10??) mostly ridiculous bookings was going to have the last word and he did.........it looked a soft pen from my view BUT it was evident in the 2nd half that neither of our centre halves could cope with Fletcher's power and ariel threat..........and we also know that Robbo is prone to jumping into the man too much, this maybe was a pen waiting to happen.
It still felt totally unjust and credit to the players for making us look like a play off team, even though now, after this defeat then that dream is probably now gone.
Never going to do that trip again, pre match there seemed nowhere else to park apart from that bloody car park........even though i was parked close to the ONE and only exit for 1000's of cars to leave by, it still took an hour (again!) to get out.....totally unacceptable, then the 100 miles of horrible windy roads to top it off.....no thanks.

Should have heard what Steve Breed was saying about the bloke on the radio, translates to "incompetent clown that got a new yellow card for Christmas and was determined to use it!" We get fined now because that demented git is allowed to ref football matches! I`m going to email the F.A. about him the fact he is a token waste of f**king time! Could you do me a favour and ask what the FA intend to do with todays £2,000 windfall? Pay for his retirement bash www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=182659Each club will be fined £1,000 for having 5 or more players cautioned. Unbelievable especially when from memory I can't remember either physio coming on the pitch to treat a player for an ill timed challenge (before the final whistle). The charge will be failing to control players.

Just recently arrived home as I don't live in Ringwood anymore so a 100 mile journey home to SW London. The game was basically dominated by ourselves for the first 25 mins until Bournemouth came more into it and were an equal to us when they brought on 'Big Fletch' and reverted from a 4-5-1 system to 4-4-2 in the second half.
I eagarly awaited the second half with Smith, Thomson and Zebs playing down the line in front of the Gulls supporters and I wasn't disappointed as the play at times was exceptional. We at times tore Bournemouth apart but would concede from my position that the ball struck/hit a Torquay player on the arm to guide it onto Rendall to score.Bournemouth came more into the game and eventually equlised after Thompson messed up a tackle outside our box . The penalty decision was too far away to see what actually happened although moments before Smith broke into the box with the keeper to beat and instead of shooting squared to a Torquay player who shot straight at the keeper. Like all those around me totally gutted at the outcome as we had been smash & grabbed for the points as Eddie Howe readily admitted on BBC radio Solent. A quick note about the TUFC supporters who I estimated were 1000+ who were once again magnificent with their support & singing.(A far cry on Boxing Day at Leyton Orient in the early eighties when we won 2-0 with two terrific Caldwell goals and I imagined that I was the only Gulls supporter there , but there were probably others)

Thanks treetopsringwood, I was there with two mates one who was connected to the club at the time. After having a greasy old breakfast in some dirty nearby cafe he told us he had just been given some free tickets. We sat in our seats and jumped up when Davy ran from the halfway line and scored a great goal, only no one else around were celebrating. We sat down quickly and did not repeat our celebrations when he went and done it again

Like JMGull, I was there when we let in a 96th minute equalizer at Bournemouth a few years back. I have to also agree that, with such luck, they must be nailed on for promotion this season, In answer to the question, has the ref ever officiated at Plainmoor before, I have certainly seen him ref at Plainmoor. He completely lost control of the game in the second half and it seemed for a period that he was refereeing by the noise of the crowd. Mansell's booking, I'm afraid to say, was deserved, as he kicked out at Connell after the foul was won. Poke appeared to be booked for asking the ref where he needed to a free kick from. We were the better of the two sides today and certainly played better than we did on Saturday. Thomson was lively and I was a little surprised to see him taken off. Smith was my Man of the Match. Both defending and going forward he played with a maturity well above age. Wish he'd have been a bit greedier in the 92nd minute, though! Rendell looked hopeless in the first half, though gained a second wind after cooly finishing Thomson's cross from the left. Poke made a couple of good stops before Feeney's well taken piledriver from the edge of the box. The referee ruined Christmas moments later, but I'm not down as I reckon the players annoyance with this reverse will steel them over the coming weeks. We do not look like relegation fodder. And we will not be. Nice to see Jon and meet other TFF'ers in Barton and Ricardo today. Hope the missus didn't clean you out at the shops! In fact, what a turnout from the Yellow Army. Blinding. Enough in itself not to let that Grinch in the middle completely steal Christmas. So, anyway, I get home and you'll never guess what nimby's are on the local news moaning about how adversely effected their little corner of London is on matchdays. Merse, are you Gunner tell us why that is? Anyhows. A promising display and I do hope Brighton get the backlash so the Board can throw money about after Old Trafford in the 4th. We'll be midtable. No worries on that score.

www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=182659Looks like it was the referee's last game as a Football league official. I can only assume he didn't enjoy the experience given the number of bookings he dished out today. Looks like Zebs may have been red carded after the game. 3 match suspension?

Just seen a quick clip of the penalty footage on the local news. It was given for a push by Mansell on Pitman.......who has gone down as if shot! Hard to tell but Mansell was the "wrong side" of his man.
Still looks a horribly soft'un though.

Thought we were unlucky not to win today, against a good defensive Bournemouth side. 1st time that I have seen Smiffy and Jake T play this season and they are proper footy players, who are well worth the entrance fee - Smiffy was class
Bournemouth played Singh perfectly - this numpty is a disgrace and on this performance he should never be allowed to ref another game in his life. If he had to ref a difficult game @ Hackney Marshes he would be brown bread.
I will also be e-mailing the football league asking how they made this decision to appoint this clown - and if it is possible to have a copy of the report from the assessor.
