Just seen the pen a couple of times on the league highlights show.......awful decision, even Claridge couldn't believe it. Pitman has conned the bumbling bloody idiot masquerading as a FL ref. Incidentally their had been rumours of a red card or two being brandished amidst the Torquay protests, seems there's nothing been reported.....so hopefully not. The highlights did show Zebroski being held back by team mates, after a word or two from our mate Connell (maybe Chris doesn't do autographs ). Connell was anonymous in the game....and subbed early in the 2nd half, seems that he's only getting games because they're so short of bodies due to the transfer embargo according to B'mouth fans.......the Conf south beckons.

www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=182659Looks like it was the referee's last game as a Football league official. I can only assume he didn't enjoy the experience given the number of bookings he dished out today. Looks like Zebs may have been red carded after the game. 3 match suspension? Could be wishful thinking on your part Rob...................and I'd be very careful with "Vital" ~ that's where I got the infection in my PC from ~ once bitten, twice shy as far as I'm concerned, so I'll not be checking your link. The last time I can recall a ref completely "losing control" of one of our games was the one who left us with eight men up at Northampton that time and he stayed on the list for the rest of the season AND the one after although he eventually bit the dust. Are"Vital" getting their "info" from the appointments for January list? If so, they are only published as far as Jan 2nd for the National List (which encompasses Football League games and FA Cup games for that day) and not all refs get games every weekend....................in fact NO refs get games every weekend for that matter. Anyway this one will need all of next Saturday to write his twelve individual reports out plus whatever else the Football authorities demand of him I've also stated before on here that "Vital" offered me a TU site to run and one of the reasons I declined was that they encourage malicious fiction to stack up "hits" on their sites. Let's hope Zebs (one of the few players not booked) doesn't incure any disciplinary action for what went on at the final whistle when the home players targeted him for particular aggression over the Ryan Barry incident which left the AFCB defender out of the game and with three stitches and a broken nose...................just like a "trainspotting" type of ref hot on dissent and technical infringement to miss that one then Presumably the thousand pound fine will go towards referee development (I'm being serious here) and one wonders just how much of it AFCB will end up paying given their parlous dalliance with returning to administration; £70?

Does anyone know if it is both Robertson and Wroe suspended for Saturday's match?

Rob has had a word with me about the content of one match report made on this thread and reminded me we are an open public forum. We do live now in a very PC world and things can often be taking in a way they were not really meant.
I have said before I do struggle at times to know just what is OK to be said these days, but the TFF has to ensure that anything written of the forum does not cause any offense or allows anything that might be considered racist.
I therefore have taken the decision to edit the posts concerned and deleted all the other posts that made reference to it, I'm sorry if this action upsets anyone, or anyone gets upset they have had a post removed.
Can I please ask you just respect the action I have taken and understand I have done it with good intentions for all concerned and for the good of the TFF
many thanks Dave
PS I will put up some match pictures shortly

Rather than it being a "PC world" I'd prefer to see it as a matter of simple common decency and would urge all posters to steer away from any remark that is based upon ethnicity.

I am not 100% sure but if a caution is issued in a football league fixture why would be different in than a caution at any other level? With no right of appeal I would have thought the same system would apply. If so it would require 2 forms (usually 1) like this and 20 minutes of the referees time. Just before hanging up my whistle the on-line system above was introduced and was definitely used in the Western, Devon County and South Devon leagues. It was good news for me as a referee as it signaled the end of time consuming hand written duplicate reports but more significantly meant that justifying my actions for a caution as a referee became a thing of the past. Just type the players name in and enter the codes, £8 at that time (I think) fine/admin fee. A red card however still required a detailed account from the referee as to what he thought went on and could be challenged. This was a few years ago now so I would like to know what todays procedure is? I suspect that its £2000 to the FA and nothing that either club can do about it . An absolute disgrace.

Only problem being we wouldn`t be able to say very much and if we did we would get prosecuted for being honest! Not even prince Harry was able to get away with calling one of his army mates a R**H**D! The whole English language needs to be re-written to suit the politically correct morons that run the country, will we have to re-name the spice ginger before long!

Dave it's got nought to do with PC (thats all made up cra*p from people in suits with no real job) it's just common (dog) sense. People who have'nt got any will always post or say / do things that the majority find offencive whatever your looks or beliefs etc.PC is a "spin" on what we already know ie the difference between right and wrong.By the way we was robbed in extra time that I thought was to long anyway the old "pro" Fletcher made the difference for them but overall we were the better team (but still ended up with no points).

Thanks jj as I said I have used the wrong term by not really understanding its real meaning.A few changes will be made later today on the forum so anything that does cause any offense can be brought to the admins attention.

Agree wholeheartedly with jj and Barton on this one. However, would just add that the best moderation is self moderation which is generally excellent on this site.

I wouldn’t take Dave to task about the use of the description “PC” and - if we're going to use the term - I'm going to have to admit to being relatively high on the PC scale. But, whilst I occasionally despair of some towards the opposite end of the scale, I also scratch my head at the overblown “right-on” logic of those further along the measure. It has to be more about values and behaviour than dogma.
Strangely enough I was telling Jon yesterday about an incident at a previous game at Bournemouth when a well-known Torquay supporter bravely challenged another “high-profile” fan (if you catch my drift) about a racist remark he had used at the final whistle. Jon and myself agreed the game has changed enormously in this direction over the last twenty or thirty years and I’d like to think campaigns such as “Kick Racism Out of Football” have helped. But - although we have to recognise the impact of criminalising various inappropriate actions - we shouldn't underestimate the widely-prevailing “inclusive” (sorry for that) mindset which actually does see all of yesterday's participants as fellow citizens.
Enough for me being pious – and, fear not, the PC Police aren’t about to descend the few paces from the top step of the Pop Side – but what of yesterday’s game? Disappointment, anguish, injustice, incompetence....it all comes with the territory of being a fan doesn’t it? Yes, there was a lot to condemn about yesterday but equally there was much to enjoy and admire. We matched them and I’m optimistic we’ll win more games than we’ll lose during the rest of the season. Contract considerations notwithstanding, I’d love to think we are at a similar stage of progress on-the-pitch as we were during 2001-2003 (and much ahead of that behind the scenes?). And, whilst we appreciate how the team is being "temporarily improved" by the use of loan players we also understand this is a fact of life these days (witness Hereford on Saturday). In this way, I'd contend any Torquay team which one day wins promotion to League One will include loan players (as has been the case the last two times).
Yesterday was certainly a day for the emotions and friendships, old and new. Good to find Ricardo and Rob sat nearby and enjoyable to meet Jon for a pre-match cup of old-fashioned milky coffee (none of that post-modern, PC Police latte stuff) in the cricket pavilion cafe. As for the emotions, I don’t think I’ve been so committed during a game since Wembley and, as I said to Ricardo afterwards, it’s rare I’m so disappointed about losing a game. In that way, I suppose, occasions like a Christmas Derby (of sorts) away from home are almost like a re-affirmation of the supporter vows.
