I can only think that Peterborough are still paying a significant proprtion of his wages and in light of that he was worth a punt. He may come good in time - however in our current situation he is the wrong player at the wrong time. Buckle himself has admitted that far too many of our signings do not have a realsitic chance of a prolonged run in the starting 11 and Mills is just another example of this. Last night once again we started the match with 11 players from last year. We need more than blind punts on 18 year olds and french trialists. Had it happened under any other Manager then he too would have been lambasted as being unprofessional.

Im sure Rendell for Sills will be the only change.

As for Williams wouldnt surprise me if he is here much longer. He says he has played on right wing most of his career and up front too which he likes but recently Bucks said he was better on the LEFT We know what he is capable of but if Bucks wants something else from hin then he is just wating his time here. We have plenty of right wingers to play out on the left who cut inside all the time.......

Good point. Hopefully Tuesday is not too late for him to continue the momentum. He really was a handful on Tuesday. Interesting stat on Bury's away performances. But we'll win. 1-0 Wroe penalty. I would not expect any changes other than the one mentioned ie: Rendell for Sillsy.

There is a bit of a breeze in the Bay this morning, the sky is very grey and looks full of rain, the sun did come out for a short while, but has gone back into hiding.

Bucks has said we need to start playing to the players strengths and today will be the real test to see if that is what we are doing. With no Sills we really need to play the ball on the floor and not just lump long balls up to Rendell.

I’m not sure if others have noticed, but he does not seem to like those challenges where the ball is high in the air, I have lost count of the number of times he has been in those situations and have dropped to the floor, holding his head and looking far worse for the challenge than I thought the challenge warranted

We need Nicky Wroe to be at his best and look to play balls into Rendells feet, he has the skill to do the rest and both Stevens and Carlisle need to do much the same as apart from corners and free kicks, I can’t see us scoring from high crosses in the box today.

I will be back on the popside for this game, I hope the fans stay in good voice as they did against Aldershot, but the team will have to play their part and give the same effort all over again and if they do then there is no reason why we can’t win this game and hopefully move out of the relegation zone.

Brings back memories of a memorable 3- 0 victory in the mid sixties, with a certain John Smith scoring with an audacious flick, and to this day I can remember as a 12 year old waking up on the morning of the match so excited at the prospect of seeing my team on Match of the Day. And what a tremendous game of footy it was both clubs near the top of the old third division and we stuff them in front of the tv cameras. Its memories like these, I only remember now in black and white, that keep me going in the bad times , when your that age victories and success is so much sweeter and you naively believe that it will never end. For those of who are old enough to remember it all went tits up on the final run in and Bury were eventually promoted to the second division. That taste of dominating teams and relative success sure is sweet and has only been sampled a few times since, last season being the most recent. Us "lifers" cling on to the hope that those feelings are only just around the corner no matter where we are in the table also lets all hope that today will be that turning point and we can clamber up the table to safety.
I predict a 3-0 victory!!

Wasn't it a Bury game that finished 0-0 after they had 3 sent off a few years back or did i dream that one?

Only a win will do today. Points, points, points!!!! We have to start picking them up or we will be playing catch up for the rest of the season. All i want this year is mid table obscurity, no dramas on or off the pitch. Then go bang at it next year, a bit like Aldershot seem to be doing.

Weird week here in the Land of Smiles. Earthquakes and Tsunami warnings tend to focus the mind a tad.
