Whatever you say about Mark Ellis or Chris Robertson, we've conceded far to many goals and just can't seem to keep a clean sheet.
Fair point to the manager to 'reshuffle' his centre backs. Charnock has performed very well when he wasn't injured. Robertson and Ellis haven't performed badly so dropping one of these two is harsh on both. However we haven't kept a clean sheet for a while...
Sofar we've kept two clean sheets and...... we've won them both!

HE'S LEFT OUT MARK ELLIS. Any remaining credibility this man had has now gone as far as I am concerned. ...get hold of yourself man. It could be for numerous reasons, for me there is not a lot of difference between any of our centre backs.....Ellis has done well but both he and Robbo were shocking last saturday......support the 11 that are picked for christ sakes... We seem to have started pretty well and the defence is certainly keeping Licoln quiet...

Do my ears deceive me or was that a right footed cross from Nico?

Listening on the radio it sounded like we had a good first half and most of the play was in the Lincoln half, but we have failed to put the ball in the net, when we have maybe been the better team in the first half.
Robertson maybe should have done better with his header in the last minute of the half. lets hope that missed chance will not cost us dear.
Lincoln may well up their game in the second half and it may be better to take off Thompson and give Sills a strike partner to try and keep Lincoln in their half.
I do hope we can get a goal early in the second half and then not sit back on it, but go for a second one, the game is there to win, but we will have to work hard to do that and be careful at the back as Lincoln have sounded like they have come close a few times to getting a goal themselves.

.....Free header from Robbo, 6 yards out. Wide...ffs!!! Right on the stroke of half time......could be a crucial miss Still, a good half, formation working well.....we sound well on top.

...We're crying out for someone that can finish.
Thompson.....wide, should have apparently hit the target.

This is just the sort of hysterical reaction from some fans that a manager has to contend with Justin. Yes, Ellis could have lost his place on the manager's assesment of his last two performances ( I highlighted his mistake ridden first half at Notts as well as his apparent inability to adapt his thinking quick enough to play reliably in a back three) but I rather think that seeing as we have reverted to a back four, the central two have been selected with balance in mind: Robertson (right footer) paired with Charnock (left footer) whilst another predominantly left footed central defender (Ellis) stands aside for Charnock. Can't a manager be left alone to make a selection based on far more information and insight into the opposition than that of his critics?

As much as I like Ellis for his attitude and bravery, he is not some sort of superstar that some people make him out to be. Same sort of story with Benyon for me. Ellis and Robertson had a right going over last week and we were very lucky that Morecombe could not convert more of their numerous chances. For me Charnock is our best all round defender and has to play. Unfortunately for Ellis he is the left footer of the two and so takes his place. I wish people would just let the manager get on with his job and you never know he well just turn out to be right - in the way he was last season. I've never known a manger who has been so successful get cut so little slack by quite a large proportion of our fans. Maybe it's unrealistic expectations or perhaps it's Bucks sheer bloody mindedness that people don't like - I just don't get it.

I like this commentary team a lot, but the main guy (Gaunt is it??) needs to work on his intonation. Several times he has had me thinking that we had scored only for him to describe a near miss.
Sounds like we are playing very well and unlucky not to be ahead.

....0-0
Another point, a great performance by the sounds of it.
Another week goes by without a win.
Gutted but proud!
